Does anyone know how to soften the flex on these boots? It says in the manuel you should be able to remove the two screws on the back of the boot, but when I tried to remove them they wouldn't thread out. +K for help.

they will come out, or atleast are supposed to take your liner out, and check the inside of your shell where the backbone bolts thread in, see if anything is siezed

If the bolts are just through the plastic you can remove them both (plus the claw nuts on the inside of the shell too). Just put some duct tape over the holes.

If the bolts are mounted into a metal backbone, you don't want to remove all of the bolts, just the top one. If you take them both out, the metal backbone comes off and you will lose all sorts of cuff stability.

Concerning further softening the second option, have your boot-fitter cut your shell to find the exact flex you need. The boot is designed to have this done to it if need be.

i have those boots and i'm pretty sure its just through the plastic. I took both mine out and the boot came with plastic plugs to fill the hole.

You should have two pieces to remove: the screw (what you see from the outside) and the t-nut (what is on the inside). If you loosen the screw a few turns, give it a loving whack with mallet so it forces the t-nut out of shell (they are in there pretty tight). Unscrew a few more turns, repeat. Eventually the screw will come out and you'll have a much easier time removing the t-nut as well.

I think I figured it out. The two screws were already removed and it was just the plugs in there, that's why they wouldn't thread out. Thanks for the help though.
