Head Mad Trix info!!!

need some good details on mad trix... i'm looking to buy a pair w/o the plate system. everyone says they rip all over the mountain... can anyone give more info on their performance in the park, pipe, air, landing/riding fakie, powder, moguls, hardpack, high speed stability? is 75mm in the waist too narrow for a do-it-all rip stick?

I think they are the best skis I have ever skied. Works in the park/pipe and powder too. Much better than for example salomon teneighty or rossi scratch fs.

^agreed, they are sick, although theyre really stiff for twinnies, they have nice pop off the lip, and real good for landing switch since the rear tips are so high, great great skis man, you should get em

remeber, the ski doesn't make you better, it makes it possible for you to progress, landing and handling different terrain is up to you, but ya they're decent, i'd go with something a little wider like the pe

I rode 172cm MadTrix for 1.5 seasons, mounted with the 'Big Mtn' label towards the tips, and they kicked ass all mountain. I wouldn't bother with the plate system. I doubt you'll see a big difference in how they ride when you reverse

the plate.

They do well all-mtn because they are stiffer and have a good amount of sidecut.

I'm trying to get a pair, but which way is forwards on the new '04's? And about where do you mount them if your doing mostly park?

^this year they scraped the big mountain/park interchangable thing, it's just a normal twintip now cause the idea of interchangable was garbage

thanx for the info - sounds like i can't go wrong with the mad trix... i'm definitely going to get a pair w/o the system plate though. i already have some pocket rockets, so the mad trix will be more park & pipe specific for me - do most of you have the tyrolia mad flex binding or are you using a different set-up? how well do the mad trix carve on groomers - if they're as stiff as everyone says, then theymust be pretty stable? any other feedback is welcome and appreciated.........

Papa, I swear I'm not stalking you, but I have to disagree with ya again.

MadTrix are not 'chattery.' If they're chattering, you're sucking.

:P

Well I really want to know, are they skiable in both ways, as in white end as forward, or black end goes foreward, and where are the bindings normaly mounted (salamon S912 Ti)?

ive never had em chatter either, and i straight lined it down scotty's at mammoth when it was all tracked up

Whats the warranty like, and do they have a notch on the side or somehting to show where to mount them?

yea the thin is that if you ski a lot of powder ( like i do) do not mount them in big air mode (i did mount them in big air mode) unless you wanna ski powder fakie (like i do).

but yea super stable ski, but kibnda not as forgioving as other skis on tyhe market but yea forgiving skis are for sissys

-I get head-

'forgiving skis are for sissys', that was awesome
