wear your helmet, or else this could happen to your head

..happened yesterday hitting the tremblant 'money booter' and i totally overshot (and throwing a stupid straight air too) and apparently smashed my head pretty good. lights out. i woke up a while later with patrollers strapping me into that metal coffin with a blanket and an oxygen mask. even now, 27 hours later, i have a splitting headache and have very faint memories of what went on yesterday. that can't be good for the old brain.

moral of the story, helmets will break so your head doesn't. wear a freakin helmet. freak accidents can happen at any time.

haha, it's all good. i haven't skid in a couple weeks and my first hit was a 3. i throw 3s, flawlessly, most of the time, and when it cames to just messin around throwing a stupid spraffy or somethin, i totally died. funny how that works..
 
damn that sucks. My worst crashes are on striaght airs for some reason. Both concusions Ive had where on straight airs. One decking out then falling head first into the pipe and another going too big and I don't even know what happened really
 
well usually one can absorb the impact and just hurt your feet/legs. i completely bailed and was out cold
 
keep the helmet as a reminder to yourself too, that's pretty powerful. i always wear a helmet just in case, i've never had a horrible accident *knock on wood* but you're right, it can definitely happen at any time. i go as even far as to say that not wearing a helmet should be illegal.
 
I cracked my dome piece once cuz I wasnt wearing a helmet while skateboarding. ouchies I had blood everywhere, and a hole in my head that had rocks and shit in it from the pavement. (i hit a rock on some rocky pavement going fast, and flew forward for you skaters who have exp. that)
 
A helmet saved my ass on the smith limo earlier this season at cranmore. I'm not sure whether i'd be walking right now if I didn't wear one. So kids, if you spin onto the limo, make sure you line it up good.
 
Head really does put out bad equipment, though. Two years ago, I was demoing some Heads, and they were brand new, and I fell down a chute and one of them snapped completely in half. The demo guy was a jerk too and almost made me pay for Head's faulty equipment. My dad sorted it out though. lol. Don't buy Head!
 
i cracked my goggles skiing woods the other day (yay eastern woods), right over my eye too, if i hadnt had them down i probably wouldve lost the eye. one more PSA.
 
Yea, luck is something I don´t really know... sunday was the first day in the season in which I did not wear my helmet- and what happend? i crashed in the inrun to a BC kicker and my right ski hit my head... huge boil, but only a little cut. That could have been fuckin more, if I see this helmet on the top! shit
 
oh shit, that's so scary. good thing you had that helmet man. about a month ago I was jumping onto a kink rail and I don't know how, but somehow I fell forward and smashed my head into the rail. luckily I was wearing my helmet so I only got away with a light concussion and I smashed my jaw. I never ski without my helmet.

it cracked all the way through in a 2 inch crack
 
haha. i hit a 40ft with a striaght air cosak and i back seated and my head was the first thing to hit the ground. it felt like i was kicked in the head. if i didnt have a helmet on, i would have been out.
