HDPE Question?

So NS, I got a problem for you guys to solve. There is a box at my home mountain that had quarter inch HDPE on it last season, no coping surrounding the HDPE, predrilled and then screwed down. Now it gets pretty cold where I'm from, and the HDPE warped like crazy! Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? Any tips?

Also half inch HDPE is going on this year.

No I do not have a picture, but the box was only used for one season, so it warped over the course of just a few monthes outside on the hill, no summer heat.

get a new box. Having no coping is fucking ghetto.

Also dont leave the topsheets on the boxes out in the sun all summer

wood shrinks and expands in any temperature, so the screws will eventually break the high density poly ethylene plastic sheeting if you dont remove it, even the expensive 1/2 inch stuff
