HD-DVD player for 360

Alright so i was having this argument with my buddy who claims that the HD dvd add-on for xbox 360 is just as good or better than the other HD players out there..am i the only one that thinks he borderline autistic with a statement like that? Your not going to get a $200 player that performs just as well as the $900 model.

And just for the record i told him he shouldnt even bother with HD-dvds because blu-ray is gonna win the war in a few years anyway
 
first of all i dont think theres any way that blue rays gonna win but i couldnt see there being that much worse but i could def see a difference.
 
No man my feidns has a HD tv with a HD-DVD player and we watched a HDDVD. I think it would be worth like 50 bucks more, but fuck paying however much more it is. Just my opinon.
 
yeah some movies wouldnt seem that much different but then theis other movies that you might notice that its HD alot more. i remember on hdtnt the other day they were showing gladiator and it seemed like a huge difference for some reason
