HD Camera help

Hey im looking to upgrade to a semi pro camcorder for making high

quality ski videos. budget for cam is fairly big but basically 5 grand

is too much.

Have been looking at the:

JVC GY-HM100E

and the

Sony HXRMC50E
http://www.sony.com.au/product/hxr-mc50e

Both these are small and powerful and have had good reviews on them.

anyone has experience with using semi pro/ pro camcorders and has any

advice before buying a serious camera or anything else to consider..

please comment.

or if there are any other products i should be looking at for ski filming
 
ive seen people talk shit about level 1's use of sony cams, apparantly they just give an unpleasant picture
 
Reviews on the AG-HPX170P are very good. can any comment with any experience with this camera or panasonic camcorders?
 
he said 5 grand was too much?

pick up a used hvx if you want a profession camera, they go for 2000-2500 depending on the camera, im selling one for 2500 w/ 32gb card and wide angle :)
