Hd cam

yea i got a question on hd cameras. i saw a couple for like 699 that where HD. those this mean its gonna be the same HD as any other kinda HD. or are there different types of HD?

Just wait until everything is HD then you can get a HD cam. For now go with something cheaper. Also think about it, how good is a $600 hd cam especially when something like a xl is a few grand and its not even hd? Don't waste your money.

No it just means that you'll never recieve it, but the online store you bought it off of will have your credit card information to charge you with it anyways.

JVC HD1U

Kinetta

Filmstream

HVX200

Cinealta

Varicam

Arri D20

RED

Genesis

plus the hundreds of 16mm cams, and the hundreds of 35mm cams.

Im not saying a TV with 1080p resolution will support full resolution 35mm though, Im just saying that those are the cams out there.

google found about "about 3,089" 1080p hdtvs, also known as true hd. of the cameras you mentioned how many are 1080p?? i know the hd1u and hvx200 aren't. there are far, far more tvs with the technology than cameras. if you are going to dish out $10,000 on an HD camcorder you may as well spend another $2,000 - $3,000 on a tv that can match its quality.

no man im not talking about online ive seen them in stores i havent bought em but seriously like best buy and shit. 30gb HD cameras for like less than $1000. so im just wondering theres gotta be something about it that makes it cheaper than some non HD.

Well that just means it doesn't have 3ccd so the quality isn't going to be all that amazing. It'd be better just getting a non-hd cam with 3ccd.

Panasonic's description says it is. How is it not? And most of the cams I listed were tru HD. They shot Superman on the Genesis. I think they shot Sin City on the Sony XD cam, I don't remember if I listed that one yet.

and yes there are a shitload of tru HD tvs out there but how many SKIERS actually own them? You can have 10,000 1080p TVs out there but thats nothing compared to the 1,000,000+ SD TVs out there.

not really a differnce more of just a scam to make you think your gettin a great deal and then your cam never shows because they robbed you and now they have all your credit card info

don't buy from cci, it's a fraud site. use this website to check for bogus camera places. www.resellerratings.com

heres the reviews for cci: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/CCI_Camera_City

When you buy a camera from them, they'll call you and make you add on warrantys and accessories for ridiculous prices to compensate for the cheap camera, then they'll tell you stuff like "for an extra 250 i'll sell you the USA model instead of the japanesse model" stuff like that. and even if you do turn them down on all their offers they'll just cancel your order and maybe still charge you.

1080p means it has 1080 pixels wide with progressive frames.

1080i is the same but the frames are interlaced.

1080p is better.

Even not full hd (720p) is DRASTICALLY better looking than regular TV.

there is high definition film but then there is hard drive camaeras where there is a memory chip built in the camera in instead of a tape.

BUT both are labled as HD so u have to watch out

you got to be careful because there is HD which is High Definition and then there is HDD which is Hard Disk Drive, two different things that can easily be mixed up.
