Heyyo. I make hip-hop music. Currently going into a transgenre sorta dealio at the moment, but this is the last track I put out that sounds like straight hip hop. J1K on the production, sample based smoooth beat. mastering is decent. tell me what ya think.

Do you have the track you embedded with no vocals?

I'm thinking i wanna use it for a short little throw together edit, but i need just the instrumentals.

perhaps try some more voice isolation to it? it seemed to stick to a medium norm and didn't have the kick of pronouncing some of figure or highlighted words? if that makes any sense at all haha
 
yeah I got that. that has to do with the setting I recorded on my mic. good to know for next time, I get used to the overcompression sometimes. like in this song haha
 
That's sick! You should work on multisyllables a bit more, sometimes it just sounds awkward for certain lines.

sorry for the double post but I'll keep the music in this thread. you wanna hear my production? here is a synth-hop instrumental I did.

 
get a little more "umph" in your voice, different subject matter other than smoking weed. everyone starts somewhere....as long as you're having fun keep it up but I would really try to work with your recording skills (how far away from mic, EQ, compression, etc.) and general vocal presence. polish your tracks. i like the beats you chose though, you got a sense of good hip hop. common sense is illllll
