What it would be like if you didn't ski in the winter?

What does one do in the winter without a winter sport as awesome and thrilling as skiing?

Do peoples lives in general suck if they do not become skiiers?

Imagine never getting pow or going inverted off a jump. Two feeling I believe every human has the right to experience.

I know this is really vague, but I think of it every time I see someone within the ages of 17-25 wearing a generic skateboarding tee and rollerblading with those skates with brakes.

I was figuring people who do neither.

I'm amazed that so many people live in SLC and go to the U of U but do not ski or ride. Sound like a waste much? I know if there wasnt snow here most of the time, I would not be here.
 
ya thats why so many bitches in vermont hate winter. because they have NO winter hobbies and dont take advantage of the climate us skiers thrive in!
 
hockey is really fun, i never played organized ice hockey but once years ago i thought of getting into it... it would mean giving up skiing though so.. i never played ice hockey.

but i get what you mean, the people who hate winter and just wait for it to get warm again. people who don't ski don't have crappy lives, but like 95% generally hate winter and snow, those fools!
 
That's why summer is so looked forward to. Learning to ski (and enjoy it) is an eye-opening experience
 
at the end of this school year in english class (i just graduated high school just for reference because i am about to sound like a 10 year old) we had to tell the class what our wishes would be if we could have 3 wishes (a 10 year old assignment) i said i wished it would be winter year round (i think i wanted another ice age) and my teacher said that the only thing good about winter is waiting for summer. i said the only thing good about summer is waiting for winter. she said touche.

my two others were an elephant that is the size of a dog for a pet.

and a house (proportional in size to a normal house) but modeled after an ant farm colony.
 
i played both when i was like 6 but skiing was funner and hockey conflicted so i skied... but i always have enjoyed hockey so id be doing that instead... and i would have more money for film and photography
 
i played when i was young but i was always annoyed at how long it took to get dressed
 
Play hockey. If i make the team I'm trying out for this year it won't be a whole lot of skiing for me this year
 
i would probably do what everyone else does, hibernate, gain 10 pounds and play video games....im very thankful theres skiing & the lifestyle to go with it
