history being a complete lie...like how do we know all this really accurate shit like what people did and shit like that...seems somewhat made up to me...how about you guys? dont hate on me...i was blazed and thought it about it

History isnt a lie, its an interpretation of remaining documents, the closer to our times, more is recorded. Another way to think of it, its a progression of human civilisation.

i think that we can rely on history from the past 200 - 300 years probably.

but like the dark ages/medieval times and that shit and stuff before that i don't know. i don't want to bring religion into it but that's considered history too isn't it? and i don't believe that stuff...bushes catching fire and seas being parted....yeaaaaaaah. why don't we have knights fighting dragons while we're at it.

but on a serious note, i think we can rely on more recent history.

I've always thought history was correct but I believe that alot of science stuff Is made up

i could be way off on this, but from my understanding a lot of biblical stories were passed down from generations, and from people to people, and people have a tendancy to put their own spin on things, spice it up a bit.

history is written by the conquerors. historical facts are easily lost due to the biased nature of the victors. im not saying that history is a lie, i'm just saying history books are fairly one sided.

haha i always think about that, like what if in 10 years all this new shti is found out and evrything i learned in HS is now GARBAGE!

yeah totally, but i mean a lot of that stuff is also regarded as history. like how the jews struggled and israel and all that

Actually a lot of what they teach you in history in public schools is inaccurate. It's not complete bullshit, it's just really biased. Especially American history. You might be interested in reading "Lies My Teacher Told Me" by James W. Lowen. It basically takes American history "heros" and deglorifies them. Turns out Christopher Columbus was an asshole afterall.

well one of the first histoirians Herodotus wrote about the persian wars and such and yes him being greek, so theyr were partly biased, also hieroglyphics dating back to the egyptians were desyphered using the rosseta stone. also pottery art, and ancient architecture all tell stories.

Yeah I know what you mean. And even if history is all right, teachers and schools sure play it out a different way and the truth will soon be forgoten i guess. Won't

that be weird in like 50 year what history class will be teaching you
