Too many people are shitting on him these days, sure he is pretty much the definition of mainstream. (most of which mainstream artists i hate)

and yes i would rather stab a #2 through my ear than listen to A milli one more time. but he definatly knows how to make music, and he certainly knows how to sell the shit.

for all you who think he cant make music or think his lyrics dont make sense, i can somewhat agree.

but give him another chance and listen to the Sports Center Freestyle.

even though i love weezy's music theres lyrics in his songs that lead to him possibly being gay plus theres a pic of him kissing baby
 
I don't like him, but it would piss me off if somebody hated on my because of what I listen to. It's all preferences and everybody will be different. Respect opinions.

god he's just so bad, i mean his music is just so terrible, if you can even call it music. maybe he has talent and good sales skills but i don't see how so many people can like listening to him
 
Its not hate when people point out the truth.

I'm not hating on the sky by saying its blue, and I'm not hating on weezy when I say his "music" is garbage. Its only a statement of fact. If you enjoy listening to Lil Wayne, at least be able to admit that its garbage, in which case it shouldn't come as any surprise to you that many people hate the shit he records.
 
He's been around forever and became so big out of nowhere. I don't know what he did that made more people start listening.
 
his stuff before the carter 3 was actually alright. he is pretty clever though, some people dont know that he stopped writing words down at age 17 and his songs are all just flow rap. I can dig it, but some of his shit is lame.
 
I don't listen to a lot of rap but he is one of my least favorite artists.. not sure why, I just can't get into his music

Whatever. I don't like him so I just don't listen to his stuff. My friend thinks lil wayne is the best rapper ever because eveyone else listens to him. Weezy is the only rap artist on his iPod. Pathetic as fuck.
 
i really don't have much of a problem with him. i think some of his lyrics are quite clever. and his flow is just something different. he's doing or did things that most artists haven't so i give him that. on the other hand atmosphere bugs the hell out of me and you all seem to loooooovvvvveee him. so to each his own i guess.
 
its fun to listen to, but he certainly is not incredibly talented at least lyrically. he does have good delivery, and i like his flow.
 
and that does count for something. it's just another aspect you can choose to appreciate or not. whereas a lot of the artists with denser more academic lyrics have terrible flow and delivery to the point where it sounds like they are trying to talk with you.
