so these two seem to b the new hot shit on the ski movie/dj scene! anyone have a LIVE mixed set i can hear, no disrespect whatsoever, but i want to see if these two can actually mix a live set, maybe some vinyl? not just a computer based cd set of mashups, i want to see some raw skill of touch free vinyl pitch mixing, eq'ing and effects with raw dj talent.

they make totally different stuff don't they?

hath is all about the mashups and walker is... well i dunno much of his stuff but it seems more trance dubsteppy.

i may be totally misinformed.

not that i doubt they can make a studio mix, or mix a live ableton set, but can these 2 throw down on vinyl/cd live, and pitch mic the set with straight raw skill?? send em if u got em.

Pretty sure they use Ableton live??
Totally different form of mixing. vinyl is dying in the electro scene, there isnt really much point...

i guess if you arent a dj, and never have been before, what im wondering, is can these 2 guys take raw music, and seemlessly blend it on the fly, live, using just the pitch control, and equalisezers/effects, or do they solely rely on software to pre-edit sets???

Yeah, Vinyl doesn't get used much. Plus doing ANYTHING on vinyl will cost you, I'm pretty sure turntables are expensive as shit. And why use tables when you could buy controllers for ableton and do the same thing? I bet they can do it, but I bet they don't have the gear. DJing really isn't that hard, and nobody expects them to be world class.... I bet they could pull it off at least.

I actually do dj, and I do shit on the fly. I can't really speak for what they do, that would be a question for them. I know a lot of people pre mix songs and just through in effects and teases and the like, but I dont personally know what they do live.

I wouldn't count on it, hathbanger doesnt play too many shows, and having a show recorded is even less likely. I wouldnt mind hearing a set. He actually headlined a show in boulder not too long ago, but as a rule, I don't pay to see DJs headline. There might be a recording of that floating around though, I would message him or something and just ask, I doubt anyone here is gonna have a live set.

wow, unbelieveably weak! ill wait and see if someone can produce a set for me but damn i'd love to tear up a ski tour, just names and politics i guess these days!
