broke my collar bone 2 weeks ago its killing so bad i cant go fucking skiing. i feel like i can do some stuff i just wanna shred the mountain and not do anything in the park, tomorrow i am going to get my second xrays to see how its healing. anyone else have this injury? when did u go back to skiing. i hope i can get some spring skiing in before the season is over.

i have a blown acl shut up you are not gone for the year you can still shred around the mountain if you want to and are safe about it

film your buddies. thats what i had to do last season. plus you wont get too tempted to do park

i broke my collar bone in 3 places and still raced, just go skiing and stop complaining. pop those pain killers or light up a joint and go!

Dude I broke my collar bone because some fatass chick landed on me, and that shit straight snapped! I had to wear one of those back braces for a long time I remember. And I remember it hurting so bad that I had to keep my arm in a sling to so that it wouldn't bounce around, because every little movement hurt so bad. That was a long time ago tho.12 years later I still feel it when winter time is around. Somehow the cold air messes it up even long after it heals. I remember it being about a 2 month process til it fully healed. I know for a fact I didn't go skiing or anything else to extreme till it was healed tho.

You need to chill. He was just telling him that it could be way worse and how the hell is it his fault he blew out his ACL. Injuries suck and im pretty sure no one chooses to get them. The point is that there are people on this site with far worse injuries that arent making threads to complain about it

Dude if you blew out your knee you'd tell him to shut up too. So kid, suck it. Bones heal back to normal, fucked up knees are forever.

On top of not being able to ski, you can't walk for several weeks, you have to go through the pain of stretching and gaining mobility before surgery, only to have get cut up and PT the shit out of it AGAIN, take a bunch of shitty drugs, sit on your ass and watch your friends go to and from the mountains climbing, skiing, biking hiking for six months while you sit around at home.
And yet, neither I, nor AlexG, nor seemeski, nor most of the other people that have hurt themselves this year have complained about it.
I'm not ripping on the thread creator. People can't appreciate what it's like being hurt until they are, and it sucks. If he had broken a collarbone when he tore his knee he would be skiing by now. He has the right to be frusterated

knee injury is way worst i feel for u. i just hate seeing all my friends skiing and me not lol it really sucks i was just starting to get better.

yea, not trying to call you out man, for sure.
just saying that when people are injured they can be pissed every once in a while. you too. it sucks for sure

sucks man, i broke my collarbone in mid march last year, by the end of april, i was able to ride around gently and do some small kickers/rails. just dont fall. i filmed a bit while i was out. you gotta make sure that once the bones are knitted back together, you keep stretching and doing the physio on the shoulder, otherwise you could lose mobility. i cant grab true nose anymore :)
as for current injuries, i have shredded my meniscus and have a tear to my ACL. i can walk fine, then my meniscus falls in between the knee joint, and i hit the deck in pain (imagine someone treading full weight on your penis). the cool thing is, i have to wait 8 weeks for surgery on an injury that isnt even that bad, to only then find out if i need ACL surgery. this could be my first full 12 month out injury (2 months and counting so far). oh, and i did all that doing a regular 270 out, landing cleanly. knees are shit.
