Has this ever happened to anyone?

So yesterday all day I was greasing all the rails at sugar bowl and they had this down rail which I had slid no problem all day long. I tried a lipslide onto the down rail and the first three times I was fine. the fourth time I did it I was perfectly balanced and about 3/4's down the rail, i caught an edge and flew forward. As this happend I tweaked my knee a little bit and I think i did some meniscus damage.

So basically I was wondering how to prevent catching an edge on a rail and if this has happened to anyone else.

nope, never happens to me. Detune your edges and widen your stance. be a little more cautious next time

ya it has happened to me, but that was because there was a chip out os the rail and i caught that, twice. it really hurt.

really i thought its better to keep most of the weight on the front foot cause if you do it on the back foot your going to fall back on you ass. I dont think it has anything to do with my weight placement cause my balance was fine i just kinda got stuck and fell forward

It happens to me sometimes, but not the falling forwards part. Usually I just rid through nasty spots on rails regaining my balance a bit. Just maybe detune your edges, but if the rail starts getting sticky, lean down more, center yourself, and maybe angle up your front ski a bit.

You may have also put a big push on your front foot. If you get a little excited you can push down on your front foot, and then you will go ass over teakettle every time!
