Has there ever been a ski you just completely hated?

k2 public enemies. got them when they first came out (feb 03). Those things are sosososososo bad.

I was back on my troublemakers in a matter of days.

my dad's old straight elan's. those things were wayyy too big for me and impossible to turn, i just straightlined every hill it was boring as hell.

aside from that i like every other ski i've ridden, for certain reasons, but they all have a few flaws. i'm not one to complain about a ski just because i don't know how to ride it.

yea. STL

whem ny fujatives were stolen i got a pair of STLs bc i liked the fujis and thought these were similar skis. the STLs just dont have the life that the fujatives have

Got a set of Line Mike Nick's for cheap...didn't take long for me to fall in hate with them. Too soft and unresponsive for my taste

so just because a ski is stiff it isnt a park ski? you obviously havent felt a pair of volkls because they are stiff as hell and they make some of the best twin tips on the market. you are probly just used to skiing on your noodley ass ar6's or some other soft ass ski. if you cant butter them, get some strength. i am used to a soft ski, i ski on invaders, and after skiing on them i can butter anything, even s5's. a soft ski is a jib ski. a stiff ski is good for jumps and pipe.

i dont know what your talking about when you say all salomon skis ski how their suppose to regardless of how u want them to ski...how are they suppose to ski??? i skied two different pairs of foils and they held up on rails and had perfect float in some new snow... salomon isnt the best brand but they are not shitty

I liked my public enemies. I'm sad they're broken. I thought they had some pop, were butterable, good on rails and versatile.

word, those first 03-04 PEs will always have a special place in my heart. They were my first pair of park skis, I sold them to a kid at my high school and he still uses them.

wow i didnt think the public enemys deserved this. i had the originals and they are still one of my favorite skis so what if they are stiff that doesnt mean they are a bad ski they are super bomber they slay rails and they are all around my favorite ski ever they kill it all over the mountain

We should forward this thread to K2 and see what they say about the PEs. they are getting wrecked right now.

wow, just read the thread. i gotta say, i love my PEs. they're wide enough to charge the powder and poppy enough to perform in the park. they took a bit of getting used to but once i figured out how to ride them well, it actually improved my skiing. i can take them out on any day at any hill in any condition and still have a good time, which is more than i can say for most of the skis i've ridden. i don't think they deserve the hate they're getting, especially from those kids saying they only rode them for one day. i refuse to jump on this bandwagon.

By the way, the K2 Extreme skis damn nice. I always hated the PE but the Extreme seems like a completely different ski. Lively, poppy, feel light. Damn nice.

They completely overhauled them right? kept dimensions the same, but totally changed the construction which changed the weight, flex, pop, and liveliness of the ski.
