there seem to be more threads being deleated by mods than there were before.. but in saying that there are alot of bullshit threads being made that don't really have any place here. tough life being a mod i guess. its generally pretty good though
 
It's a private website. You never had any "rights". I'm sorry it's taken us so long to disabuse you of any notions to the contrary.

Fuck, whoever says they will not care if their thread gets deleted, how about having all their posts and threads deleted? Good job Stack. This is a good thread with not a hint of spammage in it. If it gets deleted, then we will all know it's bullshit.
 
JD is right, this is a private website and there's no more "freedom of speech" here than in any other privately owned business. You're not allowed to walk into any other bustling location and spray graffiti on the walls; you can't do it here, either. Our moderators are hand-picked members whose judgment calls we trust... if you don't like them, maybe you should try visiting forums without any moderation, and see how you like it. You wouldn't believe how much complete bullshit gets deleted from this site every single day.
 
^ And we agree with most of those decisions. It's just that sometimes they delete stuff that should never have been deleted in the first place. Also with any person moderating something, it's possible for that mod to hold a grudge against someone because they are only human. I mean I'm buddies with a moderator on this site and he's wicked chill and cool. I'm just saying that it's still possible for a mod to get on a power trip. Fuck man, I love this site and the people who keep it running so don't get me wrong on what I'm saying.
 
ns was better back in the old days, when there wasnt a bunch of punks and mods didnt delete shit like they have nothing better to do.
 
The problem is not that us mods go out of our ways to delete things, its that certain members go out of there way to spam and post crap and be utterly defiant of the general rules of the site even after many simple requests to do so. Of course the amount of stuff we delete from a member is directly related to the amount of crap that member choses to post. Post a ton of crap and you'll get a ton of stuff deleted, plain and simple.
 
Honesty i don't see what every one is complaining about. Ive never had a thread deleted, that i know of. But if you are having threads deleted, do what my mom says "If you don't have any thing nice to say don't say any thing at all" or in NS terms, "If you don't have anything relevant to post, don't post anything at all."
 
I just got made a mod yesterday. Until then, I had no idea the volume of shit that needs to be deleted from NS everyday. TONS and TONS of shit. I cannot even believe it.

Mods may sometimes delete things that you may think should stay, but it is all done to try and better NS as a whole and keep it functioning. The stuff that gets deleted is mostly just spamming garbage and I am sure everyone here would rather have a few too many threads deleted than have to sort through stupid pointless shit to get anything out of this site. If the mods weren't around constantly cleaning this site up it would have douchebags coming in everyday posting racist shit in 40-50 threads at a time. So everyone should just chill out and let the mods do what they need to. If you thread got deleted, there is probably a good reason for it. Just stop being pussies about it and get over it.

you can say whatever the fuck you want on NS but it will most likely be hated on by the NS population or removed by the moderators depending on what you say.
 
i think most things that the mods delete are good...

but for example yesterday, yourassisgrass i think it was posted that girls info that cheated on him and that got deleted, i think that was stupid to delete and there are a few other things as well...

word. NS is probably the most relaxed forum out there. A lot of people can say pretty much whatever they want and no one will really give a shit. It's nice to not have everything censored because really, people talk like this outside of ns anyways.
 
Nevermind, you have to log in to see it, but it's a table full of different warnings, number of points were warning and how many points results in a banning.

I'm glad Mods are taking charge, cleaning up the shit little 12 year olds post. Damn, chill out and think about what you are posting. Is it offensive? If it is, then its gonna be deleted.
 
word, on any other forum if you swear other than damn or hell, you will be banned. and if you dont use correct punctuation/grammer/a lot of spelling mistakes too if their really anal (cough cough pinkbike cough)

I don't have a problem with the mods... and yes there are stricter sites

other websites automatically censor swear words so "poppycock" and the name "ashitaka" turn out as poppy**** and a****aka

stupid stuff like that

and then other forums have no mods at all and they're like zoos!
