Has anyone used this camera?? didnt get any responses in the sticky thread. also another rig question

first i have filmed/edited before but i would like to do more with it.
panasonic lumix DMC-FZ47, is this a good camera? from the reveiws etc. it looks to be what i am looking for.
second, i have seen people make camera rigs out of pvc and such and i had an idea. what if i got a steering wheel for a car and built it out of that? thoughts?

so you want this for video? why not buy a proper video camera? and idk i guess that'd work but the pvc will work as well, and be lighter and cheaper.

yeah i want this for video. i searched for video samples of this and it looks nice. and its at a good price.

i would buy a real camcorder if you're just interested in video at this price. and those fig rigs don't do all that much
