Has anyone turned a Saga Anomie jacket into a vest?

I've seen shutouts turned into vests and they look sick. Just wondering if anyone's done it with an anomie and how it came out. Enlisted vests are just too hard to get a hold of.
 
Could always practice it on an old jacket if you have one first and see how it holds up.
 
Good call. Just wondering if it would be easy to follow the shoulder seams on the anomie since all jackets are different.
 
he didn't. he vested his alps jacket. the one with the removable sleeves was a ghost jacket. it was in the 10/11 saga thread somewhere
 
Take it to a tailor, that's what i was suggested to do when i was looking for a g suit jacket. They'll do a far better job and you won't be in jeopardy of ruining an expensive article of clothing.
 
This! Otherwise it should be just like doing it with any other jacket. I did it with my Moment jacket and looking at my Saga it wouldn't be that much different just as long as you have simple knowledge of sewing.

This is the first time I have ever been talked about in a thread :')

But no I didn't do zips for two reasons. The first was that the tailor I took it to didn't have the resources to order the waterproof zips so they would have to have been covered with some sort of fabric being normal zips. The other was that it would have cost too much. Having another super awesome jacket I just didn't see the point.

Since I didn't need the sleeves she used the fabric from them and did a very, very good job.
 
Once I find it, it might be in the cape or at my Dad's. But this will give me a good excuse to start looking for it
 
Litterally just did this with my syrup. And i did the same as pudge and used the sleeves around the edges to sew up everything. Came out super well. Also just did a blueberry flannel too.
 
if there was some fabric to overlap over the zipper it would be 100% legit. but still A++++ for the effort
 
Because paying another 30 to take the sleeves off is pimp. Then people know you got that $$$
But on another note... It's because my JP Auclair jacket that I got for 70 bucks is 25K and better fitting. When I bought Saga I wasn't buying it for a super righteous tech jacket, I was buying it because it was large as fuck and I'd blend in with the trees. Like Slenderman
Also what's the point in trying to understand people? Now that makes no sense
