One was bad enough. I am not talking MCL. I am wondering if anyone has the sanity to go through this twice? I ski super conservative from what I used to cause I am a bit peranoid about getting this stupid injury again.

My drinking team has a serious skiing problem!

no but i have made it through torn cartilage, torn mcl and acl all in the same knee at the same time

If your monkey was misbehaving, would you spank it?

I would hate to do anything to my knee that bad....that scares me so much

Why do you guys say, 'I have to take a shit' when you just leave it there?' JF learning english

I don't even want to think about it...if i had to take several weeks/months off skiing and just sit around healing...i'd lose my mind.

*Raises Hand*

Not on the same knee, but i've had both done. Thank you Racing :-(

^Pretty sure it was only three, at least to my knowledge.

Old thread, but I just ditched my knee brace 3 years post op, it was getting worn out and really annoying. I've been sending it no issue. Could I go through the process again? Probably, wouldn't wanna do it 3 times though. I would be prepared for everything if I did it a second time.

i knew a guy who tor his out so bad, his needed to be replaced by a donors (a recently dead guys acl)

i know it was once but he returned full strength and started skiing this year

if your dettermend enough you can come back from anything.

I've torn my ACL twice on my left knee, 4 years apart. First from riding moto, second from 3'ing a 50ft to deep. Six months since my surgery and I'm surfing at about 90%, rode my BMX bike on some dirt jumps for the first time and I was fine. But I wouldn't be confident skiing and hitting park unless I did some serious hiking/leg training.

If I didn't sit at a desk for 40 hours a week and was more disciplined to properly train and build my legs up I'd be fine. You just gotta have the legs to handle deep landings/knuckilng/shit that you can't plan for.

I tore my left ACL three times in three years, and honestly don't even think about it as ever being hurt today. Rehab is important, but time.. time is key.

After the third one I gave it a full year before I skied. It took a while, but after two years I didn't even think about it while skiing. It's all mind games after a year or so. I'm a little better at tuning it out than most (hence the reason I retore it twice) but physically it's completely doable. Keep your head up and be stronger than this shit, it's not the end of the world

In one traveling circus episode it showed someone and like 4 videos of them pulling their acl. Maybe they pulled it five times. Pretty sure it was Andy parry but not sure. It was in like on of their beggining or end of season edits
