I'm sure you all are familar with sand boarding - for those who arn't, sand boarding involves a wooden board with straps for your feet sliding down massive sand dunes.

Now has anyone thought of using skis instead?? Has anyone tried using skis?

I mean if they work hey presto thats a new summer activity invented

sand skiing/boarding sucks. don't do it, it's not worth it. some friends and i drove to the sand dunes national park here in colorado and tried it. ugh, sand everywhere. if you fall, sand in your mouth, hair, eyes, shirt, pants, etc. and hiking back up the dune is a bitch. they make it look all neat on tv but it's not that wonderful. just wait for snow.
