Has anyone read the ski journal yet?

i don't know when it gets delivered, so i have no idea if anyone has read it at all or just about everyone has already seen it. i got mine at SIA in vegas a couple weeks ago, and just finally finished reading it.

anyways, super rad magazine. good articles and pictures in my opinion. it's just like the snowboard journal, which was obviously expected.

It's ran by the folks at Frequency Snowboard Magazine, one of my all-time favorite magazines. I saw it (Ski Journal) in Vegas and was not that impressed. I pay $12.95 for an issue of Frequency but have to admit, I don't think I would drop that cash for this mag.

 
Yes, Frequency is amazing. Snowboard magazines in general are so much better than ski magazines. I buy snowboard magazines and snowboard movies and snowboard outerwear...good thing there's at least one cool ski company out there, because snowboard companies don't make a lot of skis. But no, I haven't seen the Ski Journal yet.
 
Well, it's all opinion obviously...but I wasn't as stoked on the overall content, writing and photos as I am on Frequency. Just sort of "stock" stuff...I just got my hopes up too high I guess.

Just me though, not trying to bag on it or anything!
 
i agree with that... the ski journal was well written, has good photos, and is much better than most of the ski magazines out, but i'd still take the snowboard journal over it. at least they're on the right track.

and mike, are your fingers broken? i noticed that on the surface blog you came down to encinitas last week and weren't able to dial my number.
 
^ sean seriously shut up about it already i mean goddam the man goes on a vacation with the fam and all he gets is some awestruck emo skier bitching at him about not calling....
 
Mine finally came. It's pretty awesome: amazing photography, good literature, and it's really diverse. It seems to cover all aspects of skiing.
