becasue i think i might have it...

i know they say it looks like a bullseye, but what were some other symptoms of it?

no but i did have a tick just go to the drs and have them test you for it thats what i did
better safe than sorry

OH FUCK.

In the early phase of the illness, within days to weeks of the tick

bite, the local skin around the bite develops an expanding ring of

unraised redness.CHECK.

There may be an outer ring of brighter redness and a

central area of clearing, leading to a "bull's-eye" appearance.CHECK

This

classic initial rash is called "erythema migrans" (formerly called erythema chronicum migrans).

Patients often can't recall the tick bite (the ticks can be as small as

the periods in this paragraph).CHECK

Also, they may not have the identifying

rash to signal the doctor. More than one in four patients never get a

rash. The redness of the skin is often accompanied by generalized

fatigue CHECK, muscle and joint stiffness,CHECK swollen glands, and headache resembling symptoms of a virus infection.

well, it looks like i have lyme disease.

ya dude.....dont waste anymore time...go to the doctor's immediately....my uncle had it but was treated in the early so he didnt get fucked up, but his friend was paralyzed from the waste down as a result of not being treated in time.

yeah man i already went and checked the other thread/google/wikipedia. i noticed it about a week ago, but thought it was just from abrasion between my jeans because im a landscaper.

and now.... i guess i have lyme disease. what a shitty feeling.

not nessacerly dont jump to conclusions wait til morning go to the doctors and have them check it out
im sure you will be fine

well 6/8 symptoms from a google search, and 9/10 symptoms on wikipedia, chances are pretty good.

ive had it and my sister has it now. its no big deal go to the docs they will take some blood and give you some meds. a month later ur good as new

definately get that checked out. If you catch it early its no big deal, but if you wait it can get pretty bad. one of my brothers legs got messed up pretty bad by lyme's disease and he ended up in the hospital for a while.

i never had but seriously go to the doctor. i know a girl who's face got slightly paralyzed from lymes disease so she can't blink completely with one eye but one of my neighbors who's in his 70's got it 10 years ago and back then ran ever day was in good shape, etc but then but he waited too long and it's really sad because he's pretty mentally impaired/disabled. so seriously go tomorrow morning since you said it was a week when you first noticed something that's a long time

yeah, good that you're going, def get there tomorrow. A week doesn't sound fatal, so don't worry too much haha. My dad had it for awhile before they diagnosed the problem and it stuck around for awhile where he was generally feeling fatigued. It eventually went away and he's healthy now, with no long lasting effects that I'm aware of.

ya happened to my friend. he gradually got worse until one day he couldnt even move his arms it was so bad, he went to the doctors but they didnt find the tick so he was in the hospital for awhile until they found it, got it removed and he's fine now thankfully

My grandma got bit by a tick on the inside of her knee. I have no idea how, she always wears pants.

I'm pretty sure she has lyme disease but she's to stubborn to go back for more tests.

Let us know what happens with you.

I had it! Fuck you Marthas Vineyard. My dad noticed the bullseye. I went to the doctors before any serious symptoms like nervous system. Better be safe than messed up for life. You get these huge pills to swallow. I was little and my older brother said I was going to lose all my hair and die, I started to weep - but leucemia and lyme disease are not the same thing, yay for me.

I had it and noticed the bullseye in the first couple of days. I got it checked out and i had the disease. Took some pills and was cured before it ever got bad. I hear that you don't always get the bullseye though. Get it checked out, if you do have it and don't do anything about it, it could really screw up your life later on down the road.

go to the doctor mang...the sooner you get those big fat pills the better...my friends dad had it nd when you get the pillls things get better...you will have it all your life though

go see a doctor my friend had a tick a few days ago and felt like that and got freaked out about reading about it online so just go to a doc and see what he says

for anyone who has had it, did you have to do anything special other than taking the pills? i heard you have to stay out of the sun for a while.. any truth to this?

and for all you people saying go to the doctor now, im leaving in 5 minutes, so i should probably be asking him these questions and not a bunch of kids on the intrawebzz.

i get ticks about 2-3 times a week. but luckily they're the bigger ones and i just torture the fucks until they die a painful death.

I haven't heard from ted in a few days. Must mean he's DEAD. But seriously this is no laughing matter. You are going to be very sick my friend.

Apparently lyme disease is the most common yet hardest to diagnose disease in the entire medical field. Ive seen many a medical tv show end in the shaving of a head to find the bullseye. haha

he drew blood from my arm and sent it to new jersey to be tested for lyme, and called me 3 days later.
