Has anyone else forgotten their skis at the resort?

I ski to my car. It's a gravel parking lot so there's always snow so Iiterally ski to my car so it's hard to forget them haha. Sorry for you tho..

When I was like 13 I brought my new skis and my really crappy old skis to the hill because I thought I would use both. I ended up leaving my old ones there for like a week but luckily they were still there when I remembered.

I haven't personally, but I was one of the people who moves the ski racks off the hill at the end of the day at Big Sky last year, and it's a lot more common than you think. We'd end up with a few pairs a day usually. We had a designated stash spot for them near where the racks were and if they didn't get picked up within a few days they went to lost and found.

The most annoying thing was the dumbshits who would just leave their rental skis on the racks when they were done with them. Are people really that lazy/stupid? I hope they got charged for extra days of rental, because the rental skis would go to the lost ski corner for a few days too before we returned them to whichever rental shop they came from.

I've left my poles behind once but never my skis. I'm sort of curious how that happens.

yeah OP shitty situation forgetting your skis, but really though? how do you forget your skis, like c'mon man

one time i did. came down to the front area, took my skis off, put em on the rack and just sort of wandered off. Thankfully i groom at the place so i picked em up a few hours later. but boy was i surprised when i saw them. i was thinking. god what an idiot, forgetting their skis, what a jack ass. then i put the spot light on them, needless to say i was the jackass. pretty good story huh?

I definitely have.

The most recent time I got tired of skiing and switched over to my board. I ended up leaving my skis in a rack next to the patio where I changed over forgetting that I needed to get them at the end of the day

Have to admit, a few years back I somehow managed to leave my skis at my home resort. I freaked out quite nicely when I realised what had happened. But gladly they were still there. All icy and shit, but still there.

No but I've left them in the rack while I was in having beers and the parking lot attendant at Stowe stole them lol... What a fucking chode that guy was.

I left my 2014 pumpkin spice frappe in the lodge last year and i flipped the fuck out. I headed up the next day to get it and it was gone. A lot of homies at a basin are jackin stuff so I woild head up there as soon as possible before you loose your whip. Dont be like me and loose your pumpkin spice latte.

Iv'e done this all well....and is one of the reasons I ski without poles. I'm to cheap to buy a new set.

I once got to the hill and locked all my gear and keys in my car.

That sucked

o man that's shitty. My friend lost his keys while skiing when we were on a road trip in Utah once, had to wear ski boots for 3 days till we could get another chipped key.

Deer valley has free ski valet plus no idiots skiing all the trees out on powder days.

God I love rich people sometimes.

doing this is brutal. I did it right before a ski race, missed my run by 20 seconds because the lift stopped right before I got off, then I crashed when they let me have run at the end.

1. Parents buy skis for OP

2. OP has no real tangible value correlated to said skis

3. Much easier to lose free skis

My boi Jon Fox left his skis at the resort two days in a row. Luckily he got them back both times.

Hahhaaha I totally forgot about this.

my friend left with our keys once so my skis were sitting in the snow bank and we waited around for 30 min or so waiting for them, was so excited to leave cause it had been a shit show of a day and forgot to load em' back up in the car. Anywho went back in the morning and they hadn't moved

Anyone want to buy a quicksilver jacket? wore only 4 times!!

It wouldnt have been that bad but we had just got well over a foot of snow and it was still dumping. So I had to call somone to bring my spare set from my house which was normally a 25 minute drive but ended up being well over an hour. You can imagine the sadness I felt watching everything get tracked down as my gear sat 2 feet away from me on the other side of the glass.

actually i was totally sober. i was going to go grab them when i went back inside to fill up my water bottle, but i never got around to doing it, so i forgot my skis on the rack. a basin's holding them until i get them, so they weren't stolen, but my parents are pissed cuz they have to go get them.

I left my Elizabeths leaning on my idling car and ran into the lodge to grab a red bull once and when I came out they were gone. Max of like five minutes. But no, I've never left my skis anywhere.

Okay I have left them at the after ski on a few ocations. Does that count? But forget them on a sober mind can't even be possible for a human being.

I was straight cooked once and was driving home alone so i just got in my car and left my skis, but i realized 15 minutes later and went and grabbed them. Scary because they were icelantics.

forgot them on the rack where you drop them off before you park once... i was lil and my parents were picking me up so I just forgot to put them in their car
