Has anyone been to Everest?

Anyone? I remember someone a few years back went and had some part in skiing or filming something on Lhotse? Not sure who.

Im in the early stages of planning for next year. Want to go to base camp. No further.

I know my facts and have done my homework so far. Looking for first hand info. Kinda doubtful here but figured Id ask.

Me and Ganjola are planning a trip. I'm gonna take advantage of him at those high altitudes ;)
 
A family friend climbed it two years ago but his guide turned him back 200 vertical feet from the summit because he was getting summit fever. He would've been the oldest American to summit Everest at 67 years old.
 
Sir Edmond Hilary has been there. As a matter of fact, many people from various nationalities and social and economic backgrounds have been to Everest, for the purposes of simply admiring it's beauty, to actually attempting to summit it.

So in short, to answer your question, yes. Anyone has been Everest.
