Has anybody found a solution for all the god damn cables in their house/room?

Alright, i just decided my tv room has become absolutely ridiculous with cables.

A rough count of them goes like this:

Tv power cord

Tv-Computer cord

Tv-Wii cord

Wii power cord

Wii Sensor bar cord

4 gamecube controller cords

Speaker set, consisting of power cord, aux cord and speaker to speaker cord

Computer power cord

Mouse cord

2 Headphone cords

Several universal USB cords

3ds power cord

This is with all of my 3 roommate's shit gone for the summer.

This is the floor in front of my tv, since most of them get used within the space of a week, and storing cables turns into "hellish tangled mess" by day 2. So i'm seeking your help newschoolers. Has anyone come up with a solution to this issue? Maybe I'm some kind of unique electronics hoarder and i'm alone in this, but i feel like there's got to be someone else who had this problem and gave it enough thought to solve it.

thought of that first thing, but unfortunately it's a tv room, not a desk, and they need to be accessed from different places all the time

and for the above, a solid idea for now, but come september i'm going to be smashing on a regular basis and taking them out of the room is going to create more work than would be worth it.
