Has any one here wakeboarded behind a boat bigger than 25 ft ?

so this weekend im boarding behind are formula fas tech and its 35 ft long ( claim) and its a bigger lake than what i usally wakeboard on. its are other boat on a bigger lake because its to big for brant lake (if youve seen my pictures) and i was wondering do you think it will be pointless, look dumb, or be fun. anyone done this ? the boat dosent have a tower, just a ring in the back and i usally wakeboard with a tower. this thread is probally pointless but im curious
 
I saw some kids wakeboarding behind someones 40 foot yacht the other week, it looked redic. Mostly attributed to how fast that boat was hauling, but yeah, its possible.
 
5 bucks say you wont get up with out the tower. shit is mad hard no matter what size the boat is. as for size i dont think it will matter except for the wake it self will be a liitle diff then your used to. but again if you aint ever tried getting up with out a tower i beet you wont be able to.
 
My friends is a 28.4 .and it has a tower its basically the perfect boat for wakeboarding.skiing. etc.
 
hahah this is awesome. yesterday me and some friends were bored and decided it was a good idea to wake behind this kids 40 foot sea ray (has one of those bars over the drive seat). so we ATTACHED ((ie. screwed in a metal attachment) the rope on to this bar thing over the driver and started ripping. well it was working fine for the first little while but the wake was shit, boat was too fast/didnt turn easily, and the police boat pulled us over for suspisious activity.
 
if you cant get up without a tower im sorry but you fuckin suck at wakeboarding haha wow seriously thats so sad.

to the thread creator - do it. It's fun. The wake is generally pretty big behind a larger boat. Who cares if anyone thinks you look stupid riding behind a yacht...you're still getting to ride and you're kickin' it on a fucking yacht. enough said.
 
are you fuckin serious? getting up without a tower is fuckin easy, i just started wakeboarding like last summer too, and i can get up switch aswell. if you cant get up without a tower you shouldnt be wakeboarding
 
i go on a 28ft boat sometimes and is not too bad... im used to having no tower but if ur used to using one then it might feel real different, u prob wont get as much air time off the wakes
 
if you can't even get out of the water without a tower you don't deserve to be wakeboarding. It's kind of like being able to get on or off of a ski lift without difficulties....if you can't do it, find a new hobbie.
 
itl be a ton of fun. i wakeboard a lot at my cottage and we dont have a tower so from my experience i can tell you this. 1. you wont be able to jump as high, but gaping the wake will still be very easy. You just wont get that floating feeling. It is still very easy to get up. youl see you just stand up like you normally would. If you have any experience whatsoever wakeboarding you wont have a problem. As for anyone thinking you look dumb.... they most likely are the people on the shoreline jealous that 1. you are in a yacht and you are wakeboarding and they are not. Also who cares what anyone thinks because you are wakeboarding. If you find you cant pull out your big bag of tricks when you are wakeboarding without the tower, just do tons of butters, and carve the shit out of the wake while doing it. Have fun!
 
dude, I have no idea what will happen but wakeboarding is fuuuuun as shit. I'm stoked to be doing it again this summer. it's like endless surfing on tiny waves.
 
i went behind a 50 ft yaught, we tied the rope to the railing on the upper deck, and the wake was about 3.5 ft tall, but it really wasnt that great. i wished id brought my wakesurf, so yea, id reccommend you bring that.
 
the wake blew dick, i did it today. DONT NOT WAKEBOARD BEHIND A PERFORMANCE BOAT, like i did today. so i stay outside of the wake and ollied and surface spins and ollie ones and shit pretty fun
