One of the most revolutionary freestyle ski company is back for the winter of 2005. With a diverse range in their skis they're looking pretty sick. it looks like they only carry one true twin, but their mogul and big mountain skis look cool.

Who do you love?

hart used to be at the heart of freestyle. From the sixties all the way through the nineties. Then they went out of business. I wonder why they are back now, though. Do they sense opportunity, even with all these new companies popping up and making twins? Or is it all about 'heart'? We'll see.

They would be a good EC ski. 60 at the waist means very quick edge to edge and good in bumps. I wouldnt really want to use them in the park though.

Souds like more Revolution skis to me. Didn't Hart go out of business for building shitty skis? Whatever, I'm not buying it.

they were bought by palmer snowboards or some shit a few years back

Our park and pipe ski. The freestyle twin tip ski is designed for everything a half-pipe or grind park offers. Ride the rail, twist atop the pipe this ski will take it. A great reason our warranty offers you value! Your moves on these skis and be-still-my-heart graphics – you’ll be collecting props all season.

Haha, that's too funny

I think they're trying to make way too many models their first season back tho

Hey,

Thanks for chatting about us, good or bad, we need the press!

:>D

We have a unique way of varying the flex and the edge on the same mold of our carbon fiber composite skis, so we can get several different skis out of the same mold.

Also, the F17 Mogul ski wll be a straight ski again. You may want them longer than normal if you are truly good in the bumps.

The twins are great too, and we love custom graphics work, so feel free to draw up ideas for your ski- we'll make it custom!

We also realize the only way to succeed against the gigantic companies mass producing boards out of China and Slovenia, is to actually listen to what you guys want from us. Please feel free to submit ideas and observations to us. Also feel free to send us critiques on the site at info@hartskis.com

All the best,

Hart Skis

I only know some of this companies history, but look at how this thread was started not by the company but they respond. How's that for a company truely wanting to be involved. I know I'll be looking hard into Hart for next year.

Most of the posts seem to positive...I like. What we said before about getting ahold of us was true. Hart is small enough and humble enough to take suggestions so please feel free to check out the new line. I have skied most of the 05/06 line and it is nice..at least on the man made midwest snow. Feel free to drop me a line at jeff@hartskis.com. I am intimatly involved in the sales and product development portion of the business so send me the good bad and ugly.

my favorite part about all this is that wonderful photoshop job you guys did on that shot of k2 rider andy mahre...sick!

Everyone has a budget and we are just starting to get the new product in so thing will change. What you are seeing is a development site which is basiclly the infastructure of the new site and a look at our new line. We are open to suggestions and we are aware of the point you raised and our development team will be working on it once we have live shots done. Peace

Hart's business operations is located in MN but we have production in two factories in the US.

thats awsome that you guys are producing in the US. thats one of the reasons why i wont buy K2's any more. once they sent their manufacturing over to Asia their ski quality went down a lot. i broke my public enemies last season and they wouldn't warrenty them as well.

since you guys are so small right now, is there a way we could get a true park ski. everybody is going to thinker edges, but that doesn't seem to keep them from cracking and such on rails.

I know your pain with K2. I was sponsored by them and I dropped them when they went to China and kept saying they were the all American brand in their marketing.

As far as input let us know we are open to any suggestions on how to make the best park ski. We want to make the best of everything. Right now I am exploring the option of a full carbon twin. We weighed our mid fat Attacks with an old pair of Salomon 810 Aluminum bindings on them and they came in at 9.7 lbs total for both skis.

Most of the line is being produced in Michigan. The snowboards and the kids line are produced in Utah.

i like your graphics. But its realy hard to find a company were the edges can withstand rail abuse, and if i were you i would look into that beacuse if ppl knew you made skis immune to rails, youd be tha shit. lik a super thick edge.

that squared-nose thing looks a little silly. i know theres no performance advantage to somethign like that, so just make it rounded. i think the F-17's look kinda silly aswell but i really couldnt care less about that because its not a twin.

'your friends hate you, plain and simple, your a loser man, but your in luck, wal mart has a half off sale for ropes going on, and for an extra dollar theyll tie the knouse for you' - Ds91260

I have been hearing the edge issue a lot. I have blown through a few pair when I was skiing Enemies but I have not had any problems with ours as of yet but I will keep you all posted as the season progresses...not much snow in the MW. Also I will check to see what we can do to beef up the edges for our big 50th bday next year.

I missed a question sorry....we are making a huge pow ski called the Javelin Big Phatty which will compete with the Prophet which is 116 under the foot. It will be made out of carbon and the standard graphics as of now will look like a Philly Blunt.

My sister had Hart skis when she was like 5. I bewt that theyll do allright this year.

"...Ride the rail..." as you probably know this quote comes from the twintip (which looks amazing) section on the website. however, because they are kinda encouraging doing stuff on rails, will their warrenty cover rail damage do you think? cause if it doesnt they could be looking at people saying stuff like "well your website said ride the rails and stuff, so why arent you covering rail damage when you told me to ride it?"

anyway, the twins still look sick, i love the graphic and all, good 2 see u guys back!

yeah im bored, i wish it was winter again

twin looks cool. your pictures all have the skis mounted way back. are you guys going to design the skis to be mounted like that? you should make it so they should be centermounted

my buddy was a midwest rep for hart. (mnjib) he has a pair of the white ones. he rode them like 3 times because he got them at the end of this season. he's now a rep for ninthward. he told me hart wasnt paying him money, but in company stock. Before he made the switch from hart to ninthward his boss quit and didnt tell him apparently. odd?

i was not the rep. i was the "director of newschool" or so i was told. things wherent working out the way that i was told they where going to be,so i left no hard feelings. i am the only person to have actualy skied the twins. i helped work out the kinks that had(first pair blew out on day 2 or 3) over all they arent bad skis. stiff now though. and yes as of when i left hart they were still made at revolution in utah.
