yeah the books are good. ME and my frends went to the release of the fifth book and we got in line first and were all dressed up and we got the funniets looks form parents witht their five year olds. It was awesome but i got the first book in my town so that is neat and me met some really hot chicks believe it or not.

(trust me, the '' things aren't actually there)

 
the books are always going to be better, you just can't replicate that shit. plus especially with the newer longer books, the movies are going to suck cause they probably won't make them like 4 hours long.

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day

The quality of writing is mediocre at best, and she stole the entire concept from a BBC TV show from a few years back. No, she didn't steal anything from LOTR; she screwed up elves. It's a kid's book, and frankly it's pathertic that its the only universally read book these days, because it's extremely lowbrow. If you really want good fantasy writing, get Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. Oh, while we're at it, this is a funny site:

I loved harry potter! I dont know what you guys are talking about i think it is such a cool idea. Although parts of it where stolen i still think it kicks ass. I really didnt like the 1st movie though i thought it was lame, but the 2nd one was really good

i personally dislike the movies i liked the first one but i almost fell asleep in the second it was almost an exact copy except for the ending. i like the books though.

Bigbillybob991: No, more like as Harry progresses through adolescence, they need to come out with titles such as 'Harry Potter and the Mystery of the Training Bra' and later, 'Harry Potter versus Teenage Pregnancy'.

PS To whoever it was above who said 'the movies suck, the books are good tho'...no offense here, but if you think the books are good, do yourself a favour and read something worthwhile.

Into thin air was an awesome book ^^ but if you read that you should deffinatly read the climb to cause Krakauer(sp) doesnt know what the hell he is talking about and Boukreev does
