it took me like two 1/2 days of reading and wow.... i couldnt believe it! there better be some deep reason that he had to die or else im gunna be pissed

this book wasn't as exciting as the past books. i thought of this book more then anything was just setting up the next book instead of having a strong story line thoughout. within the first few chapter i could tell what was going to happen in the whole book except the death at the end i did not see that coming.

Alcohol the cause and solution to all lifes problems.
 
I couldn't have put it better. It mostly focused on the events that were going to take place in the next book, and avoided the usual in debth detail of events in school, like problems in classes ect. Even when Harry got banned from the Quidditch game, it didnt even seem like a big deal. The book all together was quite good though, and I really can't wait till the next one. I'm anxious to see how everything is going to work out now that Dumbledore is gone. Oh yeah, 9hrs and 30min. It wasnt straight tho, I took some nice NS breaks.

i agree with the whole "setting up" for the next book thing. this book was a good read, i just hope the 7th is absolutely amazing. this book also just explained the past, such as voldemorts childhood

yeah, I was actually hoping Snape wouldn't turn out to be a fucker...but apparently not. Malfoy is a pussy and Harry is going to fucking slaughter Snape and Voldemort. The 7th is gonna be sick...when is it out? Probably not for a long ass time....

^In two years, or so JK Rowling said in an interview I read. It better be long. I kept getting father and farther along in this one and I was like shit, I'm like 2/3's done and pretty much nothing sick has happened. WTF is going on. I think theres gotta be a twist to the whole Snape killing Dumbledore thing. I don't know what, but thats gonna have a big effect on Harry's search.

took me 14 hours in two sittings one 10 hr one and one 4 hr one, I must say the ending is has left me a little perturbed, I must say that I had trusted Snape until the ultimate demise regardless of the aforementioned chapter with the unbreakable vow, I don't know why, but I always trusted him and liked him to a certain extent, and that has been rattled greatly

on another note, has anyone else notice the assload of Star Wars and LOTR parallels that appear in this book, I am a little put of by Rawling by this, it seems here originality has dwindled from her earlier efforts

everything seemed to easy in this book towards the end there defintly is going to be a major twist in the next book, i've been coming up with some theories.

i just want to know who the person is that destroyed the first thing that voldemort put his soul in that harry and dumboldor found, cause i think they r gonna have a huge role in the 7th book, and it just gave fricken initals, its pissing me off!!

 
it was unbelievable, i couldn't put it down. i can't read any other books, but reading this one i get all emotional, like i laugh, and feel bad for people, it's the way she writes and the story lines...everything is just so good, i'm thinking about reading the other 5 (and then this one) so i am completely ready for when the next one comes out

Yeah definitely a big setup for the last book, I am now wondering whether the book will take place primarily in hogwarts seeing as harry has said that he is going to look for the horcruxes or whatever

there are parallels between lotr and star wars probably because all three are based on a basic good vs. evil conflict.

yeah that was a fucked up ending, the last ones gonna be like 2000 pages long to clear all this up. the whole thing seemed like it was leading to the last one without anything rewally happening. and theres gotta be some twist to the death, though he;'s gotta come back as a portrait in his office so harry will talk to him thast way

i dunno, i kinda have the feeling that Snape had "good" reasons to kill dumbledore, besides the fact he would get his ass kicked by all the death eaters if he defended him. w.ev good book.

yeah, i hope that snape turns out to have done it for good reasons. I wouldn't surprise me much at all.

 
yeah, the ending was very unsatisfying. the next book better be damn good. i also missed the in depth school descrition. should have been about 200 pages longer

i agree, this book seemed very short and without a lot of detail. No much really happened until the last 100 pages or so. the next book is going to have to be at least 1,000 pages

Yeah she said like 2-3 years. It better clear this shit up quick, or I'm gonna be pissed. Maybe Dumbledore was killed so he could live forever in his picture, and guide Harry that way. I don't know really, it's all messed up.

I read it in 3 days cause the gf wanted it next...

Everyone is upset about who dies, and though it is kinda a morale-killer, think about its effect on the story...it had to be done, essentially.

I have a feeling that Dumbledore dying will be like Obi Wan dying in Star Wars, he knew he had to die and that he will return and do more after death then he could during life, he knew it had to happen
