I haven't seen the movies or read the books or have i had the interest to. Anyone else out there think it is fucking stupid.
 
how do you know there dumb if you havent even at least seen the movie?? i personally dont think there the best, but ive only seen the movie so i cant comment on the book
 
as with anything, the movies don't do the books justice at all. I never really understood why people bash others for reading HP, especially when they have never tried to read them.

But whatever, ignorance is bliss i guess.
 
try giving it a read. normal people arent ashamed to like hp cause its just that good. im in college and half my friends were excited about the new book. the movies are pretty sad though.
 
the movies blow compared to the books, and where i live even all the football jocks read it so nobody cares cuz its a kick ass read
 
I read the first book when it came out when i was in 5th grade. if you actually read the books, you will like them.
 
i dont like it but im going to go around being a dick about it. its just not my thing. but it is obviously a very well written book.
 
I always thought that it was pretty gay. I never read the books but I watched some of the movies. I think I watched 2 movies. I though harry potter was a puss.
 
it's not like they are hard, and its def worth it. It took me like 7 hours to finish the last book, they are super easy reads. The first ones are so short you can do them in a couple hours.

But to each his own.
 
if you had read the books, or seen the movies, i'd respect your opinion. since you haven't even given either a try, you're a complete tool for making this thread. i hate people like you.
 
well I agree on the stance that I don't like them but I have seen 2 of the movies and read 1 1/2 books. Just not my thing - I hate fantasy stuff.

Harry potter is a fem.

No seriously whatever. I like the lord of the rings books.

But Harry Potter just seams kind of lame to me. All the characters names are so corny and I find it hard to connect with a main character that is such a puss.
 
exactly. if you read it and then dont like it, no big deal. but to make threads just to say how much you hate it, when you've never even given it a chance...thats pretty pathetic.
 
first of all I didn't make this thread. And I will probably never read the books but if I do I will get back to you.

I am basing my assumption of Harry being a melvin off of his character in the movie. And the fact that he is British and the brain child of a woman. And he is a wizard.

In my book being a woman created, British, stick waving 14 year old is pretty well on his road to the "not really interested in girls" and eventually "I'm gay" route.

But the real reason I don't like him is because if you say you don't like Harry Potter little fan boys like you shit a brick. And that makes my day just a little bit more interesting.
