Harry Potter: 7th book=2 movies

gunna be such a sick movie better rthan al the others cause finally they make it just like th book plus the other ones weretn that bad so this one should be sick

The first 2 books were just like the movie. Consiering the first two books only took 3 hours to read its not all that surprising.

haha ya it is, they are so easy to read. I'm not an incredibly fast reader, but my dad is, he can read so fast its redic. He read the entire 4th book (like 700+ pages) in under 3 hours...wtf

I only ever read when it rains or at night when I have nothing to do. And when I actually take time to read I could do 100 H.P. pages in and hour. But I can only ever read for an hour then I get bored and need something active to do, unless its a good book.

hahahaha i read the 6th in one sitting (like 10am to 4pm) and then the 7th was really hard to get ahold of cuase i was on a camping trip and the only copy was my friends sisters so we always battled it out for who got to read it. i think it took like 6 hours of actual read time cuase i was so into it.

haha word

but two movies is a damn good idea the fifth movie was the longest book and i swear it was the shortest.. or hey just cut the most stuff out so it blew fat

i'm so freaking excited for this!!!! when deathly hallows came out i couldn't stop reading... i only left my room to eat and shower. can't wait for the rest of the movies

because he realized it was the last time he could make such a successful movie, so why not split it up and make huge revenue off both of them?

ha they definitely don't need money...its brilliant really...they will make double...

and its all the better for us, cause they skipped so much in the 4th one...and i always said i hope the 7th movie is like 6 hours long...and now it will be! woo! haha

Don't they spend like half of the 7th book camping in the woods? I don't know about you, but several hours of that would bore me to death.

i doubt they will focus on that too much. Even tho they spend alot of time camping, they do alot of shit in that time. Infiltrating the ministry, getting the sword, breaking out of the malfoy's, etc.

They probably would. The first and final thirds of the book are pretty well paced with a lot of action, but the middle I found to be slow and monotonous (I personally didn't think the epilogue was very good either).

I'm actually inclined to think that the real reason they would split it into two movies is so they can milk as much hype, profit, and merchandising as they could. Everyone knows that its the last book in the series, so they can probably make more money the they split it in half.

Ya that's probably part of it. Personally, I love the series and enjoyed the 7th book, I'm glad they are making 2 movies so that they don't leave anything out. But thats just me.

I like the series too. Though I thought some of the other books were better written and much more engaging than the 7th one. I honestly think the 3rd is still probably my favorite of the bunch.

The shitty part is that you have to wait 6 months between the movies, it makes it seem like they camped in the woods for a very long time.

Really?

Wow, I don't think I've heard anyone say that the third book is their favorite of the series. For some reason I just didn't like it, though I really liked the introduction of sirius black, and the night bus, and hogsmed was cool, I just didn't get into the third one as much.

For me my favorite would have to be the fourth book, I really like how she incorporated other schools into it, showing us that there are more "witchcraft and wizardry" schools out there not just hogwarts. Also I thought the triwizard tournament was just amazing.

but thats what I like best about the harry potter series, not everyone likes the same book so when you have a conversation with people there are lots of different views. (i sound like a geek) ha

Not at all. Harry Potter is a franchise and making a movie is almost purely for purposes of profit to extend the life of the brand. The only reason a big budget movie like that would ever get a green light from a studio is because they think its going to make a ton of money.

I like the earlier books because there was more sense mysterious awe associated with the wizarding world that Harry Potter was in. I always liked it when they were exploring these unknown places and you were never really sure how their environment was going to react to them. As the series played out, most of the magical ground rules were already established, it kinda lost that feel to it and turned more into a murder mystery/soap opera.
