Harlauts drag and aren’t even remotely waterproof, I literally do not understand the hype around them whatsoever

i literally just got some random synthetic cargo pants for $2 and they look very much alike harlauts but mfs will drop $200 whatever on the midlaut pants

If you’re getting a smaller size then sure, go for a different brand, but I’ve yet to find another massive pair of pants that look as good as 2xl harlauts. Parachute pants are a different style, other pants sit weird, vulgus pants look pretty good but it’s a cuffed pant style. Other companies just don’t make huge pants that look like an upscaled regular cargo pant without a massive waist. To be fair though most people don’t wear big enough pants to justify harlauts being the only option.

Sucks when a cool pro puts their name on a good looking but over all, crumby product. Just like the TW Pro. How could they want to put their name on shit that fails regularly?

Because HH and TW cater to an audience bigger than freestyle skiing. It makes sense that their gear is the most affordable and cheapest quality. Its like this by design. I might even go as far as saying even lots of experienced riders wear and ride these because no matter how nice our gear is we still manage to get it dirty or break it.

I’d rather buy cheap skis to have money left over when they snap than a pair of nice skis that will most definitely snap anyway.

I’d rather buy cheap $155 pants that will last me 200 days and are simple to sow up when I inevitably get snagged by a branch.

A nice candide jacket is $550-900. My HH pants and jacket combined are $340, look and feel better, and I wont be mad when wheelchair grease gets on them.

I mean, yea TW reaches a broader audience with The North Face, but I don’t think HH traverses too many major boundaries (yet!) …

All I’m saying is it would be x100 cooler to see HH clothing and the TW Pro become more resilient, and tough. Because it’s what we need as free skiers. Products that don’t fail in one season. It’s called “planned obsolescence” and it’s a business tactic I despise, and I think it’s suuuuper fucking lame seeing the best in the biz supporting it year after year.

As for ski selection, I think you are 100% bugggging. Don’t skimp on your skis, do ur research, save up and buy the RIGHT pair! You’ll be glad u did bro. I remember I broke the bank on my Armadas as a kid but that investment changed the course of my life ?? If that ski had broke within the 2nd month, I might have not bought another pair just bcs I “had money left over” I wouldn’t wanna buy the same thing that didn’t last 2 months.. do u see what I’m sayin here? “You buy it right, or u buy it twice” ‼️?
