yah, we're trying to ask our pastor super hard questions so...shoot some about all religions or just plain religions

+k for legit questions

-k for hate or just dumb questions!
 
Why would God create people in order to worship him? Egotistical if you ask me...

Multiple monotheistic religions across the world claim to be the only true path to God, and thus to heaven. Without using circular logic (ei, the Bible is right because it says so in the Bible), what separates Christianity as more righteous and legitimate?

i can feel wind, i can't feel a stupid imaginary being that has done nothing positive for the human race and is the cause of many of the world's problems

religion is 100% illogical
 
soo we could get our sins forgiven

before you could not ask for forgiveness, unless you sacrificed a lamb but sacrificing his son would bring permanent grace
 
makes sense. but still, why do we need to be forgiven? cleaned of our sins? what is this for? arnt we perma broken anyway?
 
With regards to the past months rapture:"If they say it is Bible guaranteed? Then why did it not happen?"One thing I always wondered"Who chose the canon Bible?"..."Why cannot more books be added?"..."Couldn't there be more like the different versions of the Bible?

Sorry, I meant see the effects of the wind, not feel. You can't see the wind, but its presence is known. The effects of the wind are visible and very present. Religion also keeps the majority of its followers morally accountable, whereas, most non religious people do have as straight of moral code. The world's problems are created by religious extremists who don't take the orthodox approach to their religion. Moderate Muslims do not support the senseless killing of their extremist counterparts.

In the bible it specifically says that no one knows when Christ is coming "he will come like a thief in the night" meaning that no one will no his time of coming.
 
We're born sinners. Everyone has sinned. This is why Jesus came, to heal what was broken. If you repent, he will forgive you. (Repenting basically means to ask for forgiveness and try to stop doing that sin.)
 
so if god is all loving and all powerful, then how do we explain natural eveil. it would seem to contradict itself if we look at god in the classical sense
 
and why do you praise god and not the devil in the bible god kills people whips out entire citys and the devil just questions iti dont find that wrong.
 
then why would they say "the Bible guarantees it?" leading to the question is it a different God that that particular religion believes in?
 
people perceive the bible differently, we perceive it in the way you just quoted so..i can't speak for the other people cause i don't share their logic and reasons why
 
predestination is a really interesting topic to discuss, lots of people have differet view but its soooooper hard to even get your head round, like a lot of things

If people perceive it differently then how do we know which perception is right?...Is that this little thing George Micheal called faith?

If Jesus/god/whoever truly was the savior/allpowerful why didn't he say everyone, no matter what they believe? Why keep the magic to oneself?
 
Well, in fact, Stalin killed more but whatever. All you guys should shut the fuck up, if you don't like Religion there's no need to bash it. Don't see any Catholic's bashing atheists on this forum, do you?

Oh wait the Catholics bashing of atheists already happened with a little thing called the crusades. cept it was their skills not opinions.
