Hardcore/Post/Metalcore/Popcore

Is there anyone thats a fan of any of these genres, I know theres a general hate towards this sort of music on ns, but i cant be the only one here to enjoy these genres, ex A Day to Remember, Four Year Strong, A Skylit Drive, Motionless in White, August Burns Red, Woe is Me, Set Your Goals, Broadway. Anyone, an lets keep the hate out of this. If you dont like, I really dont care.

No you are not! But i do understand why people dislike it. I only like the bands that are original and aren't just screaming the whole time

I would say I'm a passionate fan of BMTH, so I don't mind their new stuff either but Count Your Blessings is definitely the winner. I love heavier stuff like that album as opposed to the more poppy stuff.

The Devil Wears Prada

Asking Alexandria

In Fear and Faith

Confide, before they broke up :(

BlesstheFall

Those are just a few of my personal favorites.

Used to love TDWP, kinda just stopped listening to them for no reason, love asking alexandria, and used to loved blessthefall during the His Last Walk days, dont like em as much anymore. When it comes to heavier shit i love Motionless in White, a little Stick To Your Guns, Casino Madrid, BOO of course, even like some Chelsea Grin an Oceano every once an a while. An yeah I used to love BMTH, Count Your Blessings and Suicide Season are great albums.

Confide were epic live :)

Blessthefall are canny sexy too

For hardcore I'd have to say that Your Demise are one of the most amazing live bands I've ever seen.

And good ones are This is Hell, Defeater, Dead Swans, Gold Kids, BLACKHOLE (l) and of course, Underoath.

Ghost of a Thousand are fucking epic now too.

^ Architects are one of the best bands ever

^ Lower than Atlantis are the boy too.

UK hardcore is the best way to go.

Gotta agree on the Blessthefall part. I don't even have their new stuff, just His Last Walk.

Suicide Season cut up is always a good listen too.

I really only like Pray for Plagues and Braille from BMTH. And as for the bands you mentioned ABR is the best one. Seriously check out Veil of Maya and All Shall Perish. Though those 2 are going into the deathcore genre (which I am not sure I in general like) they are both amazing.

My favorite band ever.. really good shows but they're starting to get a more mainstream crowd so the venues aren't as fun.

Best hardcore band ever, doesn't exist anymore, but this was the last show and most epic show I've ever seen.

Montreal deathcore, fucking amazing shows, went to the last show in Montreal last sunday and I'm still sore. R.I.P.

And you haven't discovered hardcore music until you've been to shows and came back 5 times sorer than after a really bad day of skiing.

Sorry for getting sidetracked from the genre originally mentioned, but anybody who is a fan of progressive stuff NEEDS to check out between the buried and me. They are such amazing songwriters - Just listen to the song Ants of the Sky. 13 minutes, but worth it. They switch from super heavy to very clean jazz oriented sections. The reason I bring them up is because someone before me posted about the best breakdown

Just skip to about 4:30 and listen from there - that breakdown is insane.

gonna go head really switch it up here

amazing drummer, great singer, great screamer, favorite band

Thats another thing I love about these bands, all the members are so chill and honestly grateful that you love their music. They play cause they love the music and are just stoked that you love what they play. They take the time to chill and talk with fans before and after the show and never act like theyre better than anyone. Tyler has the voice of an angel by the way haha super chill to

yeah my friends little brother somehow got his number started texting him a lot, then after his show he went back to their house and slept over with his band in their van. then, he asked for a plane ticket to buffalo for christmas from his mom, so he came back out and slept at my friends for 8 days. hes so chill.

i have been listening to alot of that dance-punk stuff coming out of the UK. sorta like hardcore with techno.

Two of my favourite bands. my favourite songs by each.

if anyone knows anything that matches this two bands, let me know asap!

The new blessthefall stuff is excellent, i recommend you go listen, its quite different to his last walk but its still pretty lush.

Escape the fate have gotten better since craig left blessthefall for them. :)

Dude, what the fuck is that techno shit. Anyways just out of curiosity, what would Protest the Hero fall under. I consider them prog, but I have heard them put under one "core" genre or another.

I'm actually trying to find more songs like this, so threads+contribution.

Have heart was an amazing band. anything MVHC/boston hxc really..

bane, guns up! converge, give up the ghost, black my heart, the carrier, .... so many good bands from the boston area

YOU ALL NEED TO GO AND LISTEN TO UNDEROATH.

RIGHT NOW.

Nothing better than a band thats been around 12 years and just keep getting better and better and better to the point where you cant even fathom their incredible-ness.

Quality of thread has gone down an immense amount. I don't think that you people are paying attention to the genre here. I know I posted many which were not in any "core" category, but many here are not even metal.

Thanks for the karma rape. It is all up to personal opinion. I was just basing the fact that this thread was more metal because since the beginning all the bands were metal such as ABR and whatever else. I see clearly how that could have been misinterpreted and I apologize for posting the comment with that specific wording.

Well I saw set your goals in the op so I posted some and that and stuff I thought was similar. A lot of people are posting a lot of screaming/whatever you call it.
