Just opened NS for the first time in like a year and a half and there's a hardcore thread let's go

I'm a bit of a hardcore connoisseur myself I go to shows almost every day

Some recommendations I tried putting the links but that's annoying as fuck, gonna limit myself to 5 old albums and 5 newer albums because I could literally put thousands

Earth Crisis - Destroy the Machines My favorite album of all time. Some of the best lyrics I've ever heard. OG metallic hardcore XVX forever

No Retreat - Rise of the Underdog Classic old school beatdown album. I saw Gridiron cover Facewreck and like five people got knocked out

E-Town Concrete - Time to Shine A lot of people think it's corny and the lyrics are a bit "problematic" but it's hard as fuck. It's like nu metal you can mosh to

Outspoken - A Light in the Dark Very slept on straight edge hardcore punk album. I feel like everybody knows it's a classic but nobody actually listens to it. Definitely nothing to mosh to here but amazing nonetheless

Chokehold - Instilled Third XVX band I've put but I can't leave them off. All their stuff is decent but this EP hits different, much tighter and harder than the other stuff

Never Ending Game - Welcome to The... So hard to choose just one because all their songs are perfect. First EP has the hardest mosh parts though. I'm from Detroit so I've seen them so many times and it's always wild. Also check out the members older bands Freedom, Detain, True Love, and Breaking Wheel

Ecostrike - A Truth We Still Believe Nothing new but it's so good. Old school straight edge style. Some of the hardest sing along parts ever. Most people seem to say this is their worst album but it's my favorite. So bummed they're gone now

Pain of Truth - No Blame... Just Facts I want to be a contrarian and say Pain of Truth is shit because they're so hyped but I can't. Seen them a couple times and it's always been so violent and crazy.

Praise - All in a Dream Pretty new album I've been loving lately. Very melodic DC emo type shit. If you're a moron you'll say it's not hardcore. Some legitimately beautiful songs

Shackled - Doubt Surrounds All Another one of my favorite live bands. Heavy but not in a beatdown soft of way, there's a lot of good fast riffs and two step parts. All Under Heaven is one of my favorite shoegaze bands at the moment and it's basically just Shackled rearranged

Also check out the bands from my local scene Enemy of God, D Bloc, Big Deal, Doubt It, No End In Mind, Iced Out, Under the Knife, High Alert, Wounded Touch, Fantasy World, probably a couple I'm forgetting, and the band I just joined Hushed :)

Sorry for the essay might write another one later though

They're out there.

Probably not hardcore enough for this thread but it reminded me that I saw a coworker whos gotta be over 60 wearing a sleeveless Slipknot shirt today. I wanted to comment on it as I was leaving but dude looked pissed off at the world.
