I ate like a whole box of dove bars today, the little tiny ones that are ice cream covered in dark chocolate. they are so fucking good each one is like an explosion of the purest greatest chocolate ever, I would eat a box a day if I could afford them.

I would but I dont like the milk chocolate as much. I'm a big dark chocolate fan, and once you have dove dark chocolate, milk cant hold up. its seriously too good.
 
sounds like thoughs dibs.i ate a hole tub of those and i felt like i was goin to puke.although they were rich in flavor and creamy goodness.
 
theyve changed alot over the years to conform to what people want...thats why im not a fan like i used to be, they are just like any other band sellin out to MTV.

Right now i think the hottest hardcore band in the scene is August Burns Red.

they have gnarly breakdowns and sick bass lines

their new cd is basically legendary, the album is called, The Messengers

Christian metal is dumb, they're just confused and think god makes people rock, obviously never seen the pick of destiny.
 
i like those blue bunny ones..theyre similar but cheaper and ican eat a whole box easily. they slide right down

Stay Gold is good. but they're akin to Comeback Kid hardcore. not whatever the fuck you're talking about
 
alright, I respect some of those bands and enjoy listening to them, but they are not hard core..they are just another genre of metal...not hardcore

I will point out some actual obvious real hardcore bands

black flag

minor threat

bad brains

early beastie boys

reagan youth

ssd

early descendents

early 7 seconds

circle jerks

etc..the list goes on and on

this new stuff is just a rip off of metal trying to be there own thing. and I respect it but they need another name for it because it is...once again...not hardcore.
 
I am not confused at all. there are many different versions of punk

hardcore being the original

and other genres after that

new hardcore is very different..it should not be referred to the good 'ol hardcore

the old stuff was original and different...this new stuff is good, but once again, it isn't hardcore.
 
I;ll agree with that. Deff diff in what you're talking about and new metal. personally i think it all when to hell when metallica cut their hair. But right on man.
 
most people these days mean post-hardcore hardcore if that makes sense. think lots of breakdowns and screaming with lots of fast guitar

I cant really think of any good examples but I know exactly what the genre sounds like since i like metalcore and I like melodic post-hardcore, which are both pretty related
 
but the thing these days is that no one knows that it is post hardcore and no one calls it that. it is pretty much just metal core, they need to learn to call it that.
 
yeah thats true. well hardcore these days is a little different than metalcore, its hard to describe its like less metallish thats the best I can do
 
I pretty much can't listen to Minor Threat when I'm driving anymore. I get way too worked up and scare my friends. On a similar note, eating Klondike bars while driving can be disastrous.

Did anyone mention 7Seconds, DOA, Youth Brigade, or Discharge?

i always thought it was any kind of really intense, loud rock/metal... is that wrong?

cuz you threw up beastie boys and they are definatly not who id classify hardcore so im just a tad confuzed
 
the first hardcore ever was the start of the punk rock scene

rent or buy american hardcore, it is an amazing movie.

and for the beastie boys, yes now they are not hardcore. but little people actually know that they were once a hardcore band. try and get a hold of "some old bullshit" it is a very good album and completely different from what they play now

or you can listen to a few songs on myspace that someone put up, just search the young aborigines, that was there first name. it is a huge change, but they played shows with bands like bad brains and reagan youth.
 
not really. there are some really good hardcore bands out there, you prob jsutl isten to shitty ones like underoath and shit liek that which isnt even hardcore. check out death before dishonor, wisdom in chains, thick as blood, few and proud, cross the line, CDC, colin of arabia. just listen to boston hardcore its all good shit

I didn't miss your post, I just chose to ignore it...but I see you want a response

I don't think that it new metal should be called hardcore because it is different...not bad, but different. I care what you call it because it defines what type of music you listen to and it narrows it down to what kind of bands

and on a side note I feel retarded because I spelled idiot wrong.
