Harassment at Snowbasin

This, they're kinda like cops. There are the few bad seeds, but they're really out there making the world (mountain) a better place.

Okay guys...time to let this go. Making it public and telling your friends what happened and that Snowbasin sucks, etc, is one thing, but just let it go. Whoever this Tim Taylor dude is clearly knows he overreacted and even apologized in the video, so I don't see the huge deal. We all overreact at some point. There's a certain way to handle shitty situations or bad service, posting Tim Taylor shit ant littering a facebook wall is not the way to do it.

what? no, that's exactly how you handle it. and it's too late anyways, the guy got his ass canned and he deserves it for this and every previous time he was a complete ass to someone.

god. the one time i got chewed out by a patroller is cause i was swearing on the liftwhen i was 13

but one other time at Mt hood Meadows they have slo patrol. and this is when was a snowblader still so around age 13 my freind and i . where just blading around turning and carving. and there was no one on the hill. we both had to piss so we hopped in the forest and pissed and when we came out. there was 4 slo patrols there. and it was the crime of the centuy. because. we had made too many turns and we were intemadating younger riders. i was stunned they punched our passes and told us to slow down.

slo patrol sucks..

if you work a PR position and tell a customer to "shut your fucking mouth" (pretty much regardless of the situation) you should be fired. patroller guy is a fucking idiot.

Doesn't look very likely. This was their response yesterday reguarding this situation.

"We at Snowbasin Resort had an incident yesterday for which we have received much deserved criticism. We are frankly embarrassed by this situation and have taken measures to prevent this type of incident occurring in the future. Snowbasin strongly believes in treating all of our guests with respect. We strive to deserve the respect and exceed the expectations of everyone visiting our resort."

I'm wondering why the Dew Tour is at Snowbasin. I've asked this many a time and no one answers me. Why isn't it at PC for example, since that seems to be where most park skiers go. I don't hear of many riders going to Snowbasin (pros that is) so why is the Dew there. Anyone know?

Have to agree with that statement. I ski with the patrolers or instructors all the time. they laugh there asses off most of the day. They only tell a guy to slow down if they are completely useless and straight lining only because they don't know how to turn threw a crowd of little kids. otherwise they leave ya alone. AND there chill about almost every thing when they do speech. Not tell ya to shut your fucking Mouth like that guy. Totally un called for.

Did he have a bad day?? Looks like it. He should at least be told to take a chill pill and NEVER talk to the customer like that again or else!! I would give him a warning at the very least and give those guys a 10 day punch card for there troubles. With big apology!!!!

This video should be used as a training tool how NOT to act for patrolers and instructors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am pretty sure it's because that FIS world cup thing may be there again, at least it was last year, and I don't think I have ever heard of a mountain holding two different freestyle comps in the same year. And by that mean like televised, Aspen open and x-games don't count.

This. Fucking this.

I was taking a break from the park and decided to do a switch run. I got stopped and yelled at by 2 ski patrols.

The guy has already been served right for what he did. Everybody knows what happened. It was all made public. Thats fine. Having a bunch of 14 year old kids on this website though continuing to make a fuss about it won't really get you anywhere.

PCMR has a partnership with Coca-Cola and therefore would never want to get involved in the Dew Tour since it is an event run by Pepsi Co.

From 20-25 seconds through the vid you can see tim taylor gappin' it down the slope to get to the instructor and the the snowboarder! Haha

fuckin hilarious! whole time i was wishing for someone to rip down and slash the fuck out of all of them cause you know the young guys would take it fine but the patrol would lose their shit. Might I add that's a killer mustache!

But honestly nvm the patrolers who've made up their minds about you before they even know your name. I don't know how you can act like that in that position, fuck even being an angry person. I know myself and many others who would love to work pro patrol at a good mountain. Anyways all the patrolers I've run into are awesome and understanding when you do get a little too close for comfort, because your're both there to have fun. Respect the mountain and fellow rippers, support your local ski hills don't let 1 dick ruin it for everyone.

I would assume it comes down to money, dew tour finals were originally at northstar but I would guess snowbasin put up the cheddar to bring the even to their mtn.
on a completely separate note: am I the only one who thinks the asshole who stopped the kid in the first place should receive greater punishment, the guy just looks like he looks for snowboarders/park skier types to single out and harass. anyways anyone siding with the instructor/patrol has their head way up their ass. the kids weren't riding recklessly/fast nor were they at all disrespectful to the patrol, even the "talking back" is hardly offensive. if someone was pulling your pass for just riding you would put up a fight too, don't kid yourself

I've seen this at stratton mountain too. A ski patroller literally tackled a snowbaorder and then proceeded to tell him to "sit the fuck down and shut up" (possibly related to our now famous "friend" from snowbasin here)I understand that ski patrol is here for our safety and without them, skiing would be dangerous- but some patrollers are really too full of themselves and are no better than washed up mall cops.

My friend and I were told not to say the "s word" at a family resort, which I totally understand.

I got chewed out for going fast when no one was around and I was like 12 years old. There's just this one dick fucking patroller that always has his eye on us, so we do everything to piss him off, but still within the rules so he can't get us in trouble. My favorite- bomb the park switch.

wow this guy thinks hes tough and they bring up such a solid point. us as a freestyle community (boarders and skiiers) get picked on way more, very prejudice and i hate it.

i saw this right after i commented in support for the snowboarder, im glad they are taking responsibly for what happened and this guy should be strait up fired
