Harassment at Snowbasin

hahah some mountains ski patrollers think they're cops, that kids worst mistake was stopping, i woulda just kept on cruisin
 
this is pretty absurd. Everyone needs to stop getting so riled up and ragging on these ski patrol. Yes, they were completely out of line scolding, belittling and harassing you and they ought to owe you guys some form of written apology for that. They are now however, single-handily responsible for thousands of patrons not going to Snow Basin this weekend; that notion is ridiculous. Police officers curse, swear, harass and apprehend innocent citizens everyday, sometimes using force, and are forgiven and given a second chance because their job involves making impact decisions in the heat of the moment. Everybody needs to chill the fuck out, the dudes in this video were clearly calm and cool-headed throughout the encounter and just wanted to prove a point, not completely ruin this guys career / reputation at Basin
 
what is the point of this example? it has zero relevance to the ski patrol man who doesnt have to make impact decisions in the heat of the mometn
 
wanna see thing fold out, just got yelled at the other day for "going to fast" when really i was in perfect control and going just as fast as 75% of the other skiers/boarders. fuck da patrol
 
it's pretty sad that people that don't/will never ski at snowbasin even care about this. wow he told a teenager to shut the fuck up, let's bust out the torches! who's got the lynchin' rope?
 
you know, every single time there's a post about ski patrol anywhere in the US, it just makes me don't want to ski there.. ski patrol in europe are chill...
 
His behavior was out of line without the f-bomb. He was incredibly disrespectful to those kids. His attitude was not remotely justified.

And it is worth a thread.

The kids were extremely respectful. They only started to complain after the patroller acted like an idiot.
 
you're not missing anything. it sucks ass here anyways.

but if you do come definitely his up vermont/nh/maine. stay clear of the west coast (no snow and always raining)
 
This thread is great.. I have been working at a ski hill for the last four years andnever had we had an incident like this.. Wow SB really screwed themselves over. And the guy wasn't even going fast? What the hell?
