i kinda dislike it to be honest. the top park is really fun...it has its small features...kinda bigger features...it sorta suites the needs of everybody. the main park is setup awkwardly. the pipe only meets the needs of some extremely talented skiers...even some pros today were saying that the pipe was too big. the rail line on the skiers right side is alright but all the rails are pretty much setup snowboard style...the only rails skiers can easily hit are the down rails and the one up rail. there are no boxes setup in the main park unless you consider the one at the bottom of the park which no one was even touching. the big jumps, im told by a cop worker, are measured to be 26 feet...way smaller than last year but still big enough to do some good stuff off of. im sure the size will dissapoint alot of people though and with the amount of space they have they should have made them much bigger. those are just a few beefs with c.o.p i have, aside from that the park has some really fun features and is planned out really well. oh, i forgot. the PARK PASS dealio. you need to watch some gay 20 minute film to get a park pass to go in the park...there are actually people checking and the park top was gated off all day. its kept on record for life so youll only have to do this once. peace.

The new zaug cuts it soooooooooo awesome. Its all tranny and unlike the last 3 years where the pipe got bigger and more vert, this one lands you straight up where ever you are.

Needs work, but its the first day, so hall aback.

The rails are awesome, and there is more to come, if anyone is whinning they can go to louise or nakiska and see how badly rails are set up. If a skier wants something changed, they should go ask, or pick up a fucking shovel. I like them.

The little park is some straight up fun, but it is what it is, little... its only there to fill space. I like how they jam packed it, and you have a choice in what you want to do. jumps, drops, rollers, rails, a box, that pole... theres alot there.

I didnt check out the main jump line, but they look the same as last year. And I would assume that theyd make em bigger if need be. I like how there is some hip jumps, and i can see alot of places where they could ram some more jibs in.

I think this years park is about a million times better than its ever been, but unfortunatly the calgary scene is so lame and full of haters and people who are just toooooooo cool. kinda like you... go be cool in your bathroom with some razors dickweed!
 
i think im the farthest thing from a hater at c.o.p, and im not hating on the park...im just pointing out some definite flaws in the way the park is setup. the rails arent setup properly, and if you think they are your a complete and utter moron who cant hit rails...or can jump off flat ground 3 feet to get onto a flat up flat. the two rails at the top of the kiddy killerish line are setup okay...ones street style and ones a jump on to up rail, no problem there. as you go down there's a flat rail with a verticle bump (not angled as a lip) but a fuckin verticle edge that you have to somehow hit to make you jump the 4 feet onto the flat rail. only borders can hit that thing, and majority of them were eating shit cuz of the rust on the rails. my friend fell on the uprail and has gold stains all over him from rust, those are my problems. and they really need a jump to flat up flat because as you ollie up you get completely off balance making the rail near impossible. and dont say my jacket's ugly, its worth more than your life!

pretty sure that rust is gold on blueish grey, because thats what he was covered in...and my pants had a gold stain on them after i scratched rust off a flat rail...what rails were you hitting exactly? the long green rail uptop, even though retardedly fun, doesnt count as a rail.
 
its a fun little hil dude, one of the best parks ever for sure. it always lives up to what it should be, its sick for preseason, i just hope they fix some shit for the winter break
 
hahahahaha i feel that. And i dont know why your complaining about with the park, its sick. And i didnt see you try anything except the uprail and tiny jumps by the rails so how do you even know what everything is like?

not feeling the "park pass" so much but i guess it keeps the "uneducated" people out of there. Plus they should put a rule that no snowlerbladers are allowed in there. I found the jumps onto the rails a bit ghetto but that could be cause they were skied out by the time i got there. Pipe is sick as hell though once they fine tune it. goin to be a rad year fo sure...

 
According to my friend who works there, you can report people who you think arent good enough to be in the park. If theyre snowplowing or being an idiot and standing on landings and stuff like that. They get kicked out of the park!
 
ya, there is another thing, i hate tall people with saga suits and purple armada skis! they suck and should not be allowed in the park, also i agree with mike, cop should only use natural snow or purchase an evian plant to make the water for the snow blowers
 
oh, i totally agree...calgary gets way too much snow and the c.o.p workers are just wasting money. we have enough snow for natural hits and rails easily
 
chad if you don't know how to "pop" onto a fucking rail/box you are incapable of being in the park...im reporting your fat mcdonalds working ass to the hill patrollers and getting your pass taken away!!
