Hanging out with pros at Hood

Well I just got back from a week long stay at Hood and it was awesome. I would definetly suggest going there to anyone. The first day I was there I saw another telemarker riding the park so I started skiing with him and his friend. On the lift ride up I realized that his friend was none other than Peter Olenick. I ended up hanging out and skiing with those two the whole time I was there. I got to meet Tanner, CR, Kristi, Corey Vanular, Andy Mahre, and Eric Iberg. It was so cool. Tanner was supper nice and fun to talk to. He actually intruduced himself to me which I thought was pretty nice of him. I also saw Henrik, Vinnie, and stood behind Pep when he was trying out this monsterous table. It was just so cool to see all those guys in person and see how cool they are. So yeah if you want to hang with the pros you don't ave to pay a bunch to go to camp just go up there and hang out. You'll meet tons of cool people and maybe get to hang out with pros.

Yeah pap your a douche. I was just saying they are nice people which I honestly didn't expect especially from Tanner but he turned out to be one of the nicest people I've ever met.

Off the hill there's not much to do. I brought my skate and mountain bike so I could screw around with those. One of the days I hung out with Peter and Andrew while they sold knitted hats from the new company they are forming called Lafalien. Their hats are sweet I bought one along with a bunch of other kids. They made almost $300 selling hats in one afternoon. Besides that I read a lot and played cards with this random nice guy parked in the parking lot next to me. There are cool locals to talk to and tons of 'wastoids' as Peter called them who have parties that mostly suck. There were all these weird rednecks with their kids at one of the ones I went to. Everyone seems like they been smoking way too much. But the people who come there to ski like me all seemed really friendly and were fun to talk to. But do expect much for entertainment. Govt Camp is pretty damn boring especially when everyone heads in for the night.

Didn't you read the other thread about Olenick. He got kicked out for a year for not having a work visa and bringing up a bunch of hats to sell. Pep ran into the same problem with a visa.

Yeah I was eating shit a bunch on 180's I don't know why. The first day I got a couple on the third and last jump which were both pretty big but by friday I couldn't even land it on the first jump. Yeah they weren't that big but the biggest in the public park especially for some one who hasn't been on skis in two months. And length wise they really weren't a whole lot shorter than the ones in the camp park but those things had soo much kick it was crazy.

There was no 80ft but it wsa monsterous no doubt. I had plenty of time to piss myself, from realizing I'd hit it wrong, while I was in the air.

i went up to timberline on friday...saw all the pros and whatnot...but even without that, i still had a fun time up there. they had a few good jibs set up.

pros seem like exceptionaly cool guys. i was ridin up the tbar and mike douglas was standin there and he said hi to me. i know theyre just people but its cool to see them in real life espescially since i look up to what they do so much

yea all the pros ive talked to are really helpful and really nice. so i hope i dont meet one that ruins that for me. but ive been lucky so far and they all have set really good examples
