A really cool app that I find very usefull is called HandBrake. many of you have probably heard of it, but it is a program that rips DVD's onto your computer into MPEG4, also know as the file type that plays on iPods. I rip all my ski movies on every year, so i can watch them whenever in decent quality on my laptop, and also choose my favorites and watch them on my ipod. i recommend you check it out. heres a link:

Hey guys, kinda new to apple, finding it easy to use for the most part, just a little different than windows and things seem simple compared to microsoft. Anyway, question is this: I have handbrake on my macbook, and my friend uses mac the ripper, he says he can rip the full title (special features and the like) using mac the ripper, I'm not sure if handbrake can do this (only used it once) so I was just curious who uses what, and to people who've used them both, how they compare?

Funny, i use mac the ripper to rip the dvd then compress/convert with handbrake.

handbrake converts it directly to mpeg4, ipod format, so its super handy for gett ing your ski movies on your ipods.
