Handbrake Help

Im trying to put a dvd i got for christmas on my computer and when i try to use handbrake(I have a mac) it only downloads the first like 15 seconds when in the window it says that the video length will be like 1hout and 30 min. anyboday know why? thanks

i had the same problem for a while and i dont know why.

under quality select "target size" 700 mb. For Output settings: Format make that AVI and for Encoder set that to Divx.
that seems to work for me.
