Hand drag help

So, I love hand drag 3s, by far my favorite trick to do. I can do them off of nearly anything, but I went on vacation, and tried them off of a windlip with a super steep landing, so you can drop off at least 15-20 feet without popping. While attempting to drag it, I kept landing on my back. I found that the more hangtime, I landed further backseat.

Can someone explain why, and how to fix it?

+K for actual help.

You are naturally going to fall backseat when dropping cliffs, this is why you see the "rolling down the windows" manuever it helps get you forward. Just fall off the cliff more as opposed to leaning back to hand drag. You will be falling backwards enough, you won't need the extra force.
