Hand Drag help

I need some help on my hand drag's i really want to get them this year but im having a problem bringing my ski's back under me. ANy tips on this or even a step by step walk through of a hand darg?

The trick is to rotate off of your hand when its on the ground. I pop off my tails and put my hand down towards the tail of whatever ski I'm doing the handrag on. When you hand hits, and your feet are kind of at the peak of extention, pull your hand in towards your hip kinda, pivoting your body off of your hand. You also need to throw it like a cork 180 with a little help from your hand to bring yourself back down.

The robe + wizard hat couldnt hurt though. try both ways, it works different for everyone.
 
i probably learned them wrong since i taught them to myself, but i did a similiar thing, but relied on my arm to basically catch myself from going inverted or landing on my back. by catching yourself with a stiff, supported arm, youll go back to your feet.

at first youll just go to 90 degrees but once you get them down youll start going to switch. you just gotta committ and realize that your arm will catch you. im a pussy and they were one of my favorite tricks i did last year
 
I found its easy to do them on covered rocks. you ski up the side half way (if possible) then pop and throw your hand down into a rotation.

Thats how I did them and I could do 3's sometimes. Amazed me
 
this goes for any trick but flex your abs as hard as you can
and visualize yourself stomping it first
if you can do those two you will learn any trick you want a lot faster
 
Holy fack you need to chill dude... where did i say that it was my strategy? I never once said it was mine. It's just what I do. Luke Van Valin as well as all the other coaches at COC and even TJ Schiller when he came over to chill from the momentum lane told me that. Like hate a little less. I'm just sharing some solid advice from the pros to a fellow NSer.
And yes I'm serious about flexing the abs and yes it does work... your upper and lower body move together that way.
 
i was serious about my post and i learned them and i didnt suck. try them out and youll get them quickly
