Hand Drag Double Corks?!

Its says on Dahoodhouse.com that hand drag double corks went down at the PBP Hood shoot. WTF!?! Does anybody know who threw these down??? and what does everybody think about this madness?

matt margetts is filiming with poorboyz too... his dub cork 9 may have involved a hand drag? but then again... he might not have been there.

thats sick, but i feel the whole idea of hand drags (and butters) are getting way out of hand. Like i always though hand drags and butters were just something you did while just crusin down the hill and just all casual and screwin around and stuff. Seems all these kids are treating em like they're bangers and tricks they really gotta practice and learn, not bashing tudor or anyone else who throws crazy drags and butters but just my thoughts.

What do you mean "getting out of hand?"

It's called progression, take something simple and turn it into something rediculous. Thats pretty much saying "Im not down with innovating tricks," or "these tricks are getting too cool/ complex." I don't see a problem.

you people are nuts. as i said the idea of it is getting out of hand, not the tricks them selves are getting out of hand. as stated i said i'm not bashing tudor or anyone else who does rediculous drags i think thats awesome. I'm just saying kids are getting out of hand about how they view the trick. maybe its just me but a drag or a butter seem more like "i found this cool roller, ridge, or you just didn't feel like hitting the jump so I just did cool little creative hand dragger/butter thingy and it was pretty cool and fun" instead of "yo i'm gonna find some monster ass roller or totally ignore the lip on the jump cuz I'm gonna stomp the shit out of this hand drag to get a banger shot." i think that a dub cork drag is sick, i just might view the concept of drags and butters differently then the rest of you.

I'm not 100% sure that I got that but is it like you think the "concept of hand drags" is destroyed because someone decides to tap the lip and do a double cork 9?

I think this is just creativity and it's always a good thing. If somebody does that gnarly-ass intense double flip hand drag shit that doesn't mean people stop doing the relaxed, steezy, cool and fun dragger tricks.

yeah, sort of, and agree that its cool, but i just don't like the fact that its gonna be blown out of proportion. like how poorboyz is gonna do mega mo on it from like six different angles and another from a heli. so it takes 3 minutes to watch one trick. cuz its an epic trick but i guess it just seems that it just took hand drags from everyday whatever, screw around tricks into something super intense. which i mean is good to try, but i feel like that its gonna keep moving towards intense which i'm not a huge fan of. so yeah i agree with you, thank you.

Errrm, you are seriously stuggling to get your point across here. proportion to what? other tricks? and how do you know that it will be blown out of proportion?

there is no way that it "will be blown out of proportion", jumps, backcountry and rails will still be a much larger part of a ski movie than butters or hand-drags. they are just super fun things to, so why not document them with film. And, when it involves going off a jump doing a hand-drag, or a butter, it makes the jump even better. Personally, i think anything new and fun should be in a movie and hand-drags and butters are super duper fun... Its pretty damn far fetched trying to say:"oh its cool and all but it will be blown out of proportion", i dont think you really know what you are talking about.

in conclusion. hand-drags and butters are fucking dope, and i wanna see more of them. skiing has nothing to do with proportions

When I first saw this thread the picture in my mind of this trick was completely different and now that I think of it, it would be soo sick and possible I guess.
So basically a regular hand drag on a nole is a cork 3 touching down in the middle. Imagine someone doing this and instead of just 180 after touching down, also do a cork 3 after the 180.
It seems possible in my head, maybe by someone like Delorme, but maybe I'm just crazy.
