So I'm taking an Independent Research class in my school, and I'm pretty much researching skis and construction of them and all that. I'm only researching twin-tip/freeride skis so I need some help. I'm making a survey on what kind of characteristics people like in their park/all-mountain/powder skis if they could only have one ski for each department. So, since Newschoolers is primarily a freeskiing website, I've come to you guys for help on creating my survey that I will post on this site soon. So I'm thinking the survey would go like this:

Park, All-Mountain, and Powder Skis

Do you like camber, no camber, reverse camber? If camber, how much? Also, for this, could someone also please explain to me the difference between each of them and how it effects performance.

Rocker or no rocker? If rocker, how much?

How stiff?

How wide in the tip/width/tail?

What materials (bamboo, wood, carbon strips, etc.) to use in the ski and why?How turny/what is your ideal turn radius for it?

Help me think of more questions for these skis. Also, I can't think of any questions to ask that would be distinct to one of the types of skis. If you can think of any, let me know please. Karmaz will be given to the helpful people.

Camber, no camber, or reverse camber? If you want camber, how much?

Do you want rocker? If so, how much?

Do you want a 5 dimension ski or a traditionally shaped 3 dimension?

Do you want taper?

Symettrical or asymettrical?

How stiff? (rate it out of ten, ten being so stiff it's stupid. You can rate tips and tails too)

Ideal length? (please state height and weight also)

Turn radius? (small, medium, large)

Dimensions? (3 dimension or 5 dimension)

What kind of construction? (cap, sidewall, whatever others you know of, maybe a hybrid of two)

Core? (bamboo, ash wood, fir wood, metal, foam, fiberglass)

Do you want it to be more durable or light? Maybe inbetween?

Race base or regular?

Extra thick edges or normal?

If you prefer any materials for edges or sidewalls or bases list them here:

If you prefer any layers or anything between the base and the core list them here:

Does this seem like an in depth enough survey? Or is it too much and nobody will answer it. If you have anything else I could add to it please let me know.
