Happy Halloween!

Park 1260 is having a Halloween Jam/Comp on Sunday November 2nd 2008 starting at 4 PM. We will debut our new feature, a 20' long 1.5' wide flat box. The setup for the event will be the new box on the left and the 24' a-frame rail on the right. Practice and free-riding will take place from 4 PM to 6 PM, with the competition stating around 6 PM. We will have burgers, dogs, snacks, and soft drinks available on the deck for a small donation, and Red Bull will be on hand during the comp to "give you wings". Donations of $5 are required to attend with an additional $5 donation needed to compete. Prizes will be provided by Crash-Pads, The Sports Chalet, and more in the following categories:

Best male skier over 14

Runner-up male skier over 14

Best male snowboarder over 14

Runner-up male snowboarder over 14

Best female skier over 14

Best female snowboarder over 14

Best skier under 14

Runner-up skier under 14

Best snowboarder under 14

Runner-up snowboarder under 14

(minimum of 3 contestants to create a category)

We are also planning on a private screening of the new Level 1 production TURBO, sponsored by Nestors!

The weather looks good for Sunday, lows in the low 30s and highs in the high 40s. We will be trucking in some snow to make the lips perfect for the evening. So come on out and bring some friends for a great time! If you are interested in learning how to slide rails and boxes on your skis or snowboard, we are offering lessons at 12 PM from PSIA and AAIS certified park and pipe coaches. A $25 donation is required and you must pre-register to attend.

So how did this turn out, We tried so damn hard to make it out there on time but we were stuck in lancaster and it is impossible to reach anyone from this park other than through email. You guys should realy put some sort of phone number on your website that would have made things alot easier.

The event went well, we had a literal ton of snow for the in-runs and lips. The new box was a huge hit. We could have used more people though...

Sorry... unfortunately we are not near a phone during an event, so we would not get the call if you did have the number. When I post events on Facebook I usually include the number however. Usually the best thing to do is to try and contact us prior to the event.

Congratulations! to the winners of the 2008 Halloween Jam/Comp:

Snowboarder = (1) Nick, (2) Nick

Skier = (1) Shawn, (2) Nick

Female = (1) Lexie

Many thanks to our sponsors: Crash-Pads, Sports Chalet, Mountain Creek, Red Bull, and Nestors.
