Halfpipe, the best thing in skiing right now

I'm so tired of people just saying halfpipe is dead and acting like it's stupid to talk about and enjoy pipe skiing. I love skiing pipe and I love that there are not all the scenester kids hanging out Like I typically see in the rest of the park. Probably partly because I find a lot of park skiers these days including pretty good ones suck at pipe.

Anyway respect the pipe

Oh yeah the pipe. Highly underrated

I like doing slashes in the pipe. Nose and tail

And alley oop 180 Opp shuffle is one of the most fun tricks

**Best thing in park skiing

These thuggie-wearing park mice don't define the entire sport of skiing. Powder skiing is better than pipe.

My favorite trick in the pipe is peanut butter nose shuffle 180 hand plant shifty tail reverse butter pretzel 180 to switch

pffft you don't even have a grab in their. I do that entire thing while grabbing blunt the entire time

I love pipe. Pretty weird to watch it die over the last 20 years.

It is kind of nice to never have a crowd at most pipes. Idk if most people hate it because they'd rather ski park or just don't want to learn how to ride a pipe. I think it's a blast.

Yup, halfpipe is the best. Everyone should go to the pipe.

*ducks out gate and tours away to crowdless freedom*

skiing pipes super fun and tight to watch, to bad barely any east coast mountains have a legit one anymore

can't blame them, though-- with the time and snow it takes to make a pipe, you can make so many other features (that won't turn to ice without good maintenance)

more places used to make them, but as they recede in popularity it becomes less of an important bragging right to have a pipe. and it's already such a specialized aspect of the sport

pipe is super fun but im bad at it and finding a good condition one is sort of rare. IMO it's better for a mtn to just throw a QP somewhere in a normal park
