i am optimistic, but i don't think that we can solve this thousands of year old problem here on ns. you won't believe it, but when i have some time on my hands i think about such stuff. While watching TV, so the solutions arent that good.

depends, if you just started pouring and stopped at half, then it is half full but if you had it filled to the top and then started drinking out of it and stopped at half, then it's half empty.
