Ive ski raced since i was 4 years old and theres no doubt that it has helped me in every aspect of skiing i do. So until like 7th grade i was pretty serious about it and now im just like fuck it ill do it just so i can ski 5 days a week. Today was our first race of the season and i show up the the same attitude i always have, just 'whatever ill just ski for the hell of it' so im in the gate and i dont have one of those silly GS suits or darth vader helmets, I have a pair of 686 pants and a fucking collared flannel shirt on, so i take my run and felt pretty fast, and my friend comes down who usually gets first, and I beat him, i listen to every other time and i won, hahaha im so pumped still!

Our jib coach told us that he wanted the old racing dudes to compete in races last year. he wanted them to wear really baggy clothes, eide twins an d just chill down the course. on the speed jump guys threw down japan 3s and shit. so fun to watch

fuck you! I had my first race yesterday too. I DNF....okay because firrst, the hill I ski at is fucked. anyone who skis MA knows Blue hill sucks a big one. so, the pitch changes, and the lighting changes at the same time, adn there was a big rut, which I didn't see because I was looking at the gate and down the hill. so I hit the rut, both skis released and I ragdolled it down the hill. it sucked

haha good job connor. ive never raced and never will but I did that Nastar thing at a mountain a few weeks ago. Somehow I still managed to beat someone's time even though I skied the whole course switch.

yeah i had my first race on saturday and my ski released when i hit a rut cuz the guy at my shop set it to 5 when i weigh 135 and im 5'7''so i dnf'd

hahaha, next year im def racing, on twin-teles, with baggy pants, and jagged, dull edges from rails, if by some miracle i ever podiumed, i would def do a switch victory lap

ski team is the most slack team at our school and we're pretty good, like, our coach burns haha. this is my first year racing since i was about 8 and i have a pretty good shot at going to states..

^^nnuuuhhhhhhh I dont live in a resort. I ski at a hill 25 min away, with 1 run that's barely covered with snow. usually you slip snow out of the course, but we had to slip it IN the course. and someday I'm gonna bring my fujatives with me to race. that'd be interesitng

colleen sweetheart, here in mass. we always slip our courses because of the shit man made snow. it can eat you up really bad, so racing on ice is way better plus faster. and its fun to see the kids who dont know how to ski well get all messed up

at the university champs i raced slalom on pocket rockets, since the snow was really wet and i didn't give a shit anyway. not surprisingly i missed a gate and got dq'd so i could spend the rest of the weekend freeskiing. it was funny, all the races at the top of the course were amazed by my skis - it was the first time they'd ever seen fat skis.
